Start by filing an I-130. Visa number availability for family visa categories cannot be expedited. She will be F2B category. Her priority date won't become current for several years.

Since adoption and immigration are two separate entities, I would hesitate to tackle this without a couple of competent attorneys. There are just too many complexities when the two are mixed.. Adoption does not guarantee immigration.

Extended Administrative Processing is open-ended. That means there is no time limit. The status updates don't mean anything. You are in a waiting game. Don't expect any news or information until the processing is done.

I believe the SS policy states that a K-1 fiance is eligible for a SS Number. She is not a fiance now. Here is a thread which might be helpful:

He is right in some ways. She would have needed to apply for a SS Number 2 weeks prior to the I-94 expiring (ideally before marriage). Now, she needs to mark the box on the I-765 or I-485. Otherwise, she will need the EAD or Green Card.

For USCIS benefits, you can legally enter any combination of the names on the Marriage Certificate. You can enter the new legal name on I-485, etc. Example: John Smith marries Jane Doe. Jane can use Jane Doe, Jane Smith, Jane Doe Smith, or Jane-Doe-Smith as new legal name on all USCIS paperwork, and she can use that as her legal name.

They filed incorrectly. If you are married, you cannot legally file as single. However, it is not an immigration issue.

Yes. I assume her priority date is current? From what status will she adjust? It is rare that we see a sibling filing for Adjustment of Status. I don't recall seeing one in years.

This is my annual reminder for older immigrant couples (like my spouse and I). Social Security monthly retirement benefits (Age 62+) Can be earned: 1. Based on immigrant's own work record OR 2. Based on spouse's work record (must be married for 1 year or more). This does not affect the SS retirement benefit of the US spouse. The immigrant is not required to have any SS work credit. I believe the amount is 50% of spouse's monthly deposit. Medicare (non-special qualifications) 1. Immigrant must have been a Green Card holder for 5 years. 2. Normally, immigrant must be 65 years old. Immigrant can be entitled to receive FREE Medicare Part A (Example: US Spouse is already receiving SS retirement benefits and US spouse already receives free Medicare Part A). Immigrant will pay the normal Medicare Part B monthly premiums (currently about $174.00) which is deducted from any monthly Social Security benefit deposit. In our case, I was not aware of the spousal Social Security benefit, so we applied for wife's Social Security and Medicare at the same time (on the same Social Security form) when she turned 65 years old. It took Social Security only a few days to approve her SS retirement benefit and to start her Medicare Parts A & B. Coupled with a good Medicare supplement (ours is Tricare For Life), this provides really good health care coverage.

W2s are supporting documents for a tax return. Paystubs are supporting documents for an I-864. Unless you are submitting a new tax return or a new I-864, there is no need for new supporting documents.
