BRgirlUS got a reaction from DiazEdgecombe9194 in 2 months since my AOS interview -- no news?
I was going to bring the same issue... My interview was january 13 (3 weeks ago) and went very well, but my status has no updates since then, just "interview scheduled". The IO gave us that paper that says to wait 120 days, which for me sounds like an eternity. Anyone went for an infopass before the 120 days? I'm wandering if I should try that...

I am still waiting for my passport and considering the time it took to process yours, mine was supposed to be done already. I mailed it on July 20 and they started processing it on July 24. Yesterday I called to make sure it is in Chicago. Did you ask them to expedite your passport or did something for it to go faster? It was through the Chicago Passport Center, right?

Received an e-mail yesterday that my passport was approved. It was "In Process" for 8,5 weeks. In the e-mail they say that "You requested routine service when you applied, which we are currently processing in 6-8 weeks". I wish this information was posted in the website for everyone.

I will just put this here because the last time it was posted was on page 45 and it is difficult to find. I also brought back the instructions, in case anyone doesn't know how to use it. I know some of you prefer to use the Google spreadsheet but some of us don't. Visajourney also recommends against it because through Google spreadsheet others can see your Google login. Now you need to figure in the individual agency that is processing your passport.
Your passport is randomly assigned to one of 25 offices.

The only expedited passports are military and their families, which is at its peak right now, as the stop move order has been lifted.
Some need 2 passports, official, and tourist.

I only got mine last week (6 weeks,1 day)

    You're due but not overdue.

Can we keep the tracker in this thread too? I don't trust using Google Spreadsheet. Visajourney also recommends against it: "VJ strongly discourages the use of google docs for monthly filer threads; there are privacy concerns as they are not administered by VJ, so others can potentially see your Google login and from that other info about you and your loved ones, and there is also the potential loss of all the data if the original creator of a doc removes it from their drive. Please use the threads themselves or the VJ wiki, for your data gathering needs." Source:

Yay guys! I got my citizenship today! 🎉

Here are the details: We arrived at the St. Louis Office 20 minutes before the scheduled time. Went through security and up to the second floor where the waiting room is. Entering the room, there were some people sitting and a security guard in the back, who stands up when we enter. I went to talk to him and he asked for my appointment letter. Then he told me to draw a line on top of the City/state that I wrote and told me to write St. Louis, MO ( I didn't feel comfortable doing it, because changing a document like that feels wrong, and there was nothing in the letter stating that I had to write the exact city where I was taking the ceremony, only saying that I had to sign the day of the ceremony. I signed at home, and I live in Illinois, but whatever, the guard told me to do that, so I did). He then also told me and my husband to sit 6 ft apart because "social distancing" (even after I told him we live together... but that didn't make him change his instructions... whatever again... haha). At the time of the appointment, an USCIS Officer appeared behind the counter and started calling one person at a time. On my turn he asked for my ID and then I gave him my Green Card and MY Employment Authorization cards, and showed my Drivers License and my Military Dependent ID. Then he asked me where I lived, and proceeded to the questions in the appointment letter. He gave me a number and told me to wait. After this officer was done checking in everyone, then the security guard called us by number to form a "social distancing" line. We then were guided to another room and each directed to stand in front the table with their citizenship certificate on it. Another officer conducted the ceremony. She explained that we would do the Oath and we repeated each word after her, right hand risen. Then we were done and released. Very quick. There was a flag at the waiting room and the security guard allowed us to take a picture there. And that was it.

I can't believe I'm DONE with USCIS and all this Patience training.

Good luck to everyone! And thanks for the company and the great information. This website really helped me and I made sure to complete my timeline and write my journey there to give back.

    @swissbuttercream Here are your answers.

    1. How's the sequence. example: do they cover questions/updates to Removal of conditions first, and then do citizenship questions? Anything to specifically prepare for with combo interview?
I believe this depends on the officer. My husband came with me. The officer invited the both of us in together, did the Removal of Conditions first, then asked my husband to leave the room and did the Citizenship interview with me. The Removal of Conditions interview is based on the questions that you answer in the form. I don't remember being asked anything tricky.

    2. What sorts of questions did they ask about marriage / document they requested in regards to Removal of Conditions file.
Honestly I don't remember, but bring all the documents you attached to your case and the required ones and you should be fine.

My notice says to come alone, but I'll have my wife come with me and if they do not let her in, she can wait in car. But I feel since it's a combo interview, she should be allowed in with me.
The interview is in the second floor, and you need to go through security to enter the building. The security won't know how to answer anything, but do bring your wife inside with you and let the officer decide once they call you in the waiting room. Also, when you check in, mention you have a pending I-751, so the officer if prepared when they call you.

    3. After Interview - did they update your case online immediately or after a few days/weeks?
    It was updated immediately.

    4. anything else specific to St. Louis Office you think I should know about?
The lady that interviewed us was super nice. Make sure to do your part and study for the citizenship test.

    Good luck!
