Had my interview this morning, approved on the spot and received my oath letter before I left the office. Oath scheduled for the end of this month.

I had my interview this morning. It was scheduled for 7.55am this morning. We arrived early and sat in the car a little bit then went it and got checked in at 7.34am. Numbers were being called that were assigned after mine and each interviewer that came out I somehow thought they would call my name or number. About 8.05am, a gentleman came and called my number. My husband, daughter and I got up and walked towards him. He respectfully told my husband that he would not be allowed in the room. Lol. Upon entering the room, he told me to put my bag and folder on a chair and put me under oath. He then asked for my appt letter, gc and passport. We chatted a little then he asked me the following questions:
What is the name of the VP? 
What is the capital of the United States?
What age should men register for selective service?
What is the name of the national anthem?
Who is my us representative?
What is one reason Colonist came to America? 
He asked me to read Who lives in the White House and asked me to write the President lives in the White House. We then went through the form. He asked me the 50 yes/no questions had me sign the tablet twice. He then asked if I would be available for the oath on Sunday Dec 29. I said "yes, of course" then we chatted some more. He made me very comfortable during my interview. We spoke about children, culture and anything else that came up. He did not request any additional details from me even though I brought a huge folder bursting at the seams with evidence. He clearly went through my file based on certain things he mentioned regarding taxes and properties owned together. I was in his office for about 45/50 mins. The officer was great and seems to really enjoy his job. I enjoyed the interview.😊

Had my interview today with the worst lady ever!!  
she is Indian. The first thing she asked me as soon as I got in her office was that “ I need to see everything you and your wife has together since this year. Everything!!!!” And bring them out now!  (Very authoritatively). I almost my pants, not because I didn’t have anything together with her, but because I didn’t take anything that binds us together. On the letter it wasn’t written that I should bring any documents apart from the ones I brought. I told her this and she said “oh did it you apply for N-400 on basis of marriage? I replied yes, she was like ok so do they need to tell you to bring that?? Do they need to tell you everything????
am like, Damn this crazy woman lol. 
She was like, listen to me, I can stop this interview right now because you don’t have all the necessary documents, am like am sorry ma’m. 
so anyways she started with the interview and told me to write something on the iPad of which I did, but when I wanted to write it, I dropped my wallet that was on my hand on her desk and she looked me straight in the eye and said, “listen first of all you don’t leave any of your personal things on my desk, nothing, so I picked it up and tried to reach for my passport too and she said, did I tell you to take that?? Uhn?  I thought to myself “this lady is mentally deranged” and left the passport. So I acted like I was about to cry (fake though) and she saw my face all mellow, then she became soft and started treating me like a child😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I was like YES MY PLAN WORKED, I even failed one of the question (name two holidays and I said 4th of July instead of Independence Day) and she said “it’s Independence Day and not 4th of July” (in a mellow And caring  tone still) she was like you’re doing good, don’t be scared 😂😂. In my mind am like. “AM NOT SCARED OF YOU WOMAN!!!!!!”  To cut to the chase, I passed the test and she told me I did good and still kept treating me like Son, and She said, you know what, I’ll make sure you get your oath today so you don’t have to wait for it in the mail ok?! 
am like “yes ma’m”. So I sat down and got my oath this same day. 
p.s. this was in the New York City federal plaza earlier this morning
my oath is scheduled to take place on the 4th of December! 

I've been on VJ for a while and have been in this game for 11 years total.  I'm shocked at the number of responses lately that are snotty, arrogant, and demeaning to the OP, in this forum and others.  Maybe something is not an issue for YOU but you don't know the life circumstances of the OP-maybe there is a reason they need the case to go faster (sickness, dying parent, job loss, sick children, problems in country of origin to name a few) Maybe there is a reason they are confused (recently learning English, or getting bad advice from a lawyer both come to mind).
When I came to VJ there were rarely snotty answers and most tried to answer as best they could. If VJ had been this demeaning when I first joined I would have gone elsewhere.
Frankly it's sickening.  We are all in this because we are going through a tough process-we are looking for answers because we've not done this before and have no way of knowing how it works.
Can someone explain why in the past few years this has become a scary place to ask a question? Obviously I'm not talking about violation of the rules of VJ because they are dealt with.  I'm talking about demeaning someone for asking a question or having an opinion. Can anyone answer that?  Or does someone want to give a sarcastic answer to me for asking?

Done with my journey yesterday. Did my oath early in the morning at Plano. Was there 7am and park Our car far and Waited 30mins before they open the doors, they could at least open the doors specially on that kind of weather. I don’t mind waiting outside if I’m alone but I’m with my 4 year old daughter, some people have younger kids than me and u can’t help just to feel bad 

More in depth details with my interview today. Basically, the lady went through my  N400 and she told me that I missed some of the questions and need to be answered. She was able to see in the system that I went to Canada twice (but I didn’t put in my N400 because I was thinking it was only one day and the second trip was just half day), she verified with me and she put it in my file. She asked for my SSN card but I told her I don’t have it. I only showed my GC, expired and new passport, DL, and my marriage certificate because I am changing my maiden name to my married name. Btw, cellphones were allowed inside. I was the last person who got interviewed and when I went out, no single person in the waiting area anymore😂. Just waiting for the oath notice now. Hopefully, soon 🙏🏼🙂

The same with me. She scanned my thumb and my index. I said that's it? she said yes. I said I thought I must scan all my fingers. She said no, not this time.

That’s not true. It’s evidence of having met in person as well,  but could be out of the 2 year window. 
 
 

I often wonder if some people visit this site shortly after application, fill in their filing and biometrics date, then never return to update.  I say that because I look at older spreadsheets, some back to 2018 and 2017 and see a number never added an interview date.  Maybe that’s because of the backlog or they just became frustrated with the long wait period and forgot about this site.  It’s a little frustrating because if everyone keeps updating spreadsheets, it gives us more insight to actual waiting times are our local offices.

Yes his case was very very fast but everything he touches turns into gold he’s very lucky
6 years ago ,He won on a green card lottery and that process was so fast too ,one month later he was in United States.

Wow, that was quick. Congrats! I am wondering if there is a slow down. I filed August 19 and still have not heard anything yet. Sigh

Central Processing schedules biometrics and Interviews for the district offices. 
They then send your file entire immigration file to the district office so the local IO's can review before your interview. In small cases, when the file or background checks do not arrive in time, the local office will cancel the interview

What was the RFE about? Separate addresses? As a layman, I find it hard to believe that you and your husband (who love each other very much) allow 2 teenagers to prevent you from living together. Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to combine resources? Put yourself in the immigration officer's position...would you believe your story?
