Do you have sole custody? Because then you don't have to do that.

If the Courts allow you to move with your son then are you aware that he can not go back to see his father for almost what would probably be a year?
he can’t come back in without the AP without abandoning his AOS after you file that.
could see that being a big issue with court comepared to a CR-2 visa. -

Don’t know about NYC.
but know Atlanta and Kansas City don’t do it as they are always done by the courts. The courts are actually SO excited to do them as it’s mostly always negative things they sit with and therefore they get really excited about oaths because all the people are so happy. -

Today I became an American Citizen ❤ The journey hasn't been easy and it has been filled with plenty of USCIS mistakes and delays, im thankful to now be done with all of it. No more deadlines to meet. Good luck to everybody here!

When was this? Because it's basically stating in the letter that due to COVID only translators and attorneys are allowed to come with
Yes our letter said that too. But everyone at our office had their spouse with them. Mine was in August. But could be my office in KC just let them in. Some are more strict with it others not so much. We had to wear mask of course.

Tusinde tak! 😊 It sucks that I'm not allowed to bring my husband with me tho
Mine was allowed in with me even though it said on the N-400 he wasn’t. But I had a pending I-751 and combo interview (only one question from I-751 so hardly combo)

If the e-mail you received is from DOS, i don`t see why it would be wrong. I would call to confirm to be on safe.
It's gov yes. But it's not by e.mail they want it. They want me to send it in by real snail mail which I'm not comfortable with at all. Also they have an issue with his birth certificate (it's a certified copy in english and danish) we have used it through out all immigration and I have used the same kind for mine also. Mine got approved yesterday but they won't accept his. It is so weird. I have contacted the senators office for help with my son's passport.

Just received a e-mail about my sons application.
They want his certificate of citizenship (I sent in mine)
They want birth certificate (I sent that in)
They want GC/Stamp in passport. (I sent in a copy from his danish passport with that)
They are saying that I have to send in his original danish passport for them to see as they don't take copies. Can that be right that I have to send in his danish passport?

Anyone stuck at Dallas?

Just asking. Are you 100% sure that the other one got denied? I mean if you think he took your passport and other documents can you really trust what he said about that case? Did you ever check the case number online? Call them to check on that status?

Mine is getting his next week in MO as well and it clearly states passport is fine. So you’ll have no problems.

How old is your dependent? Did you apply for your dependent's N400 when you applied for yours?
Mine is 14. No you don't apply for a child under 18 for N-400. They will automatically become a citizen when you do. (if under 18, in your custody and a GC holder)

Has anyone here filed their I-751 along with a dependent child/children? Did you receive a biometrics appointment for them? Did y'all get your 10yr GC already?
I had one. He got his bio appointment 1 month and 1 week after I had mine. We had a combo interview so we never got the card but went straight to citizenship. (I-751 of course approved at N-400 interview)

Can anyone help me understand why it is taking so long for them to process my passport and help me calculate when can I expect it just by using the numbers?
I sent the application on July 20, My status changed to "In Process" on July 24. It is being processed in Chicago.
A person from another forum sent their application to the Chicago Passport Center on July 15 and on August 27 they received their passport (6 weeks).
My status is still "In Process".
On the week of July 23-29 there were 1,150,000 passports awaiting issuance.
From Jul 23 to Sep 10 1,002,000 new applications were received.
Adding these two numbers = 2,152,000
A total of 1,316,000 passports were issued between July 23 and September 10.
The Department of State says that applications will be processed in the order they were received.
I am calculating that there are 2,152,000 - 1,316,000 = 836,000 applications in front of mine.
From September 4 to 10 there were 110,000 applications received and 129,000 passports issued, which gives us a difference of only 19,000 passports.
if it goes on this rate, it will take 44 more weeks (836/19) for them to process my passport 😨 !!!????
Is there a more optimistic way to do this math?
Well USCIS also says they process cases in orders as received and we all know that ain’t so.
you could have ended up with a slow person or someone who is off who knows. Hopefully you will get yours soon!7 hours ago, lucardo3 said:I got e mail this morning my Passport was approved and shipped. Processed at Dallas passport Agency. Applied on August 10th. They started to process on August 20th. Exactly 4 weeks.
Congrats! Good news for the Dallas people. Hope mine will be as quick.

When you pass the AOS interview you will receive a 2 year Green Card. When the 2 years comes up you can file for ROC 90 days before it expires. No one can say if you'll have a ROC interview or not. Some so and some don't and also policies can change within that timeframe also.

Just got an email from my lawyers assistant, saying to also include the following in my I-751 application.
- Copies of passports (petitioner and beneficiary)
- Two passport photos (I am in NY- not overseas)
- Copy of I-94 Departure record
- Copy of marriage certificate
- Copy of social security cards (petitioner and beneficiary)
- Letters from employers and paystubs (petitioner and beneficiary)
- W2's (petitioner and beneficiary)
None of these things things are on the I-751 evidence list. Am I missing something (like an entire page of instructions?) or did she email me the wrong list? It looks like the list that I used for my I-485 interview. My application window opens TODAY and I'm now doubting all the hard work that I've been doing. Ahhh!Didn't send one single of those when I send mine and we were fine.

Thank you for a little update not often we get those in here!
Glad to see you are doing better!
Luckily you have a 10 year GC so after the divorce you don't have to deal with ROC and can just move on with your life. Hopefully the divorce will go smoothly.
Can't see you having any problems at the airport getting in.

I did this I have it too.
I took one years worth of medication with me so I wouldn’t have to think of it the first year I was here. After we got married I was added to my husband’s insurance and the medication have not been expensive at all.
