    A recent thread of relevance:
    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/562879-cbp-at-tsa-airport-checkpoints-why-theyre-there-how-best-to-handle/#entry7784682
OP, do not (do NOT!) take inland CBP checkpoints lightly. With some exceptions during an experience of many years, I've found that the agents are generally in ill humor and are looking to nail somebody. Keep ALL your current documentation with you, including your marriage certificate and AOS letters.
Even U.S. citizens should avoid (like the plague) the internal CBP checkpoint south of Alpine, Texas.

V24 reacted to TBoneTX in CBP at TSA Airport Checkpoints: Why They're There & How Best to Handle
People here often post questions about flying domestically when they're at various beginning stages of the immigration process. Answers vary from "carry your complete current documentation with you" to "you will have no problems."

Customs & Border Protection agents sometimes hang out at the TSA airport checkpoints. In August 2015, I flew out of a border-area airport in south Texas and took the opportunity to query the CBP agents at the TSA checkpoint.

T-B.: When you hang out at the TSA checkpoints, are you checking that
    foreign travelers are in status?
    CBP: Exactly.
    T-B.: For example, what if a K-1 entrant's I-94 is expired?
CBP: We have all kinds of ways of checking their status.
T-B.: Would it help if they have their marriage certificate with them?
    CBP: Absolutely.
T-B.: If they've applied for AOS and have their I-797 or at least a copy of their
cover-letter for their I-485, does it help?
CBP: Absolutely anything that they can provide will help a lot, and will speed things up.
T-B.: Why are you at some airports and not others?
CBP: We're at border airports and others that are ports of entry. We're not at all of them.
T-B.: But it still makes sense for legal immigrants to carry their current documentation?
CBP: Absolutely. It helps them and it helps us. It speeds things up a lot.
T-B.: I'll pass this along. Thank you.

This confirms that it makes sense to carry your most recent documentation with you until you have your green card.

I first had Mrs. T-B. carry her marriage certificate (MC) and passport with valid I-94.
Then, she carried her MC, passport, and copy of her cover-letter for AOS/EAD/AP.
Then, she carried her MC, passport, and her NOA1 (I-797) for AOS.
Then, she carried her MC, passport, and AP.
Then, she carried her first green card (= the law).
Then, she carried that green card and her cover-letter for ROC.
Then, she carried that green card and her NOA1 for ROC.
Then, she carried her 10-year green card until she became a naturalized citizen (= the law).

These documents came in handy at various stages, including at a Texas/Mexico land-crossing POE, a couple of airports, and especially inland CBP checkpoints while driving. At these last, the CBP agents are typically in poor humor and are looking to nail someone. For example, if you're not carrying your green card, they'll detain you for as long as it takes to verify that you're who you say you are.

The above is presented in hopes that it will help others.

No more, to be done until it has been filed and approved. Please read the guidelines and proceed accordingly.

Your work is no more so you can't include your income on I-864. To use immigrant's income, you must prove your income will be from same source after you receive GC.
If you messed up your I-864 from beginning, you needs to fill another I-864 accurately reflecting your USC spouse's income, even it was zero.
And a joint sponsor I-864 is expected as well.
    Good luck.

When did you submit it? Which tax years' tax transcripts did you submit? The most recent tax year now would be the 2014 tax year.
Otherwise, I don't know. Maybe they just missed it. It sounds like submitting his tax return transcript for 2014 again should do it.

***** Folks, not everyone has to love the USA. However, you should state your criticisms constructively, without huge generalisations made in the op, and respond the same way- politely. Many if you, including the Op, did not.

    Hi,
Keep your I-864 as is. No reason to create a "lie" by stating you have no income. That inconsistency could come back to bite you in the rear.
    Best of luck

Your current income is what matters. The joint sponsor requirement is automated on rfe form in case you fail to provide current income proofs. You need to send in:
Your job contract stating annual salary .
Pay stubs, you should have more by now.
Explanation letter stating you just started your job.

Bank statements and/or assets requirement is another option on rfe letter (besides current income proofs and joint sponsor.)
If you don't feel confident with your current income proofs, provide joint sponsor i-864 along with citizenship/gc documents and income proofs.

Yes you are actually. Well then supply more proofs of your current income + new set of joint sponsor I-864. You will be fine. Good luck.

One more thing to take note:
If your sponsor is married AND files tax jointly in spouse, the spouse might need to fill an I-864A.

If you hate and have no respect for the people here, then why do you want to be a US citizen?
You can leave here without a US passport. You don't need a US passport to leave here and live in Europe.
Euro trash who wants the advantage of US citizenship and talks poorly of the people he wants to join.
