I'm a graduated person and i want to study an MBA in the US

I have a sister in states that can support me and pay my first year at least

Which Consulate will you be going through?

So you got selected for the DV but you're not going to use it because of something I don't know what it is... And you're going to try for a non-immigrant student visa and try to prove you're not going to immigrate? What's CN? So you're going through AOS and you now want to switch to student visa?

I don't think your chances are that great, considering you're in the middle of immigrating I'm not sure how you'll be able to prove you're going back to your home country after you're done studying.

And what do you mean by "can this be a reason to comeback?"

Number too high to get a DV

Thanks guys for your replies;

I'm selected in the 2015 fiscal year and the last visa bulletin (September VB) shows up without reaching my CN (Case Number) so officially i'm out the race;

I know student visa is a non immigrant visa and i also know that i have to put in the table valid and strong reasons why i'm willing to comeback after being graduated;

I just want you to tell me is having a wife left behind and a house under mortgage will help convince the consular??!

Thanks

Do you have anything more than that? It's a start but by itself not so much. People leave their family for greener pastures all the time. Do you have a job you're expected to come back to?

pointing to a left-behind spouse is NOT considered, as people gladly leave spouses and children behind to find a new life in the US...the consular folks will be able to see your approved DV...and will likely put the puzzle pieces together as to why you really want to go 'study' in the US...

Being fune by a sibling is unusual, but the biggest piece of information is the Consulate involve.

Hi,

To get a student visa, you need to get an I-20 from a qualified school. To get the I-20, you need to show that you have the money to pay for your course of study. Your sister being able to financially support you is not enough. You need real money in the bank. This need for money in the bank is usually what stops most people from being able to apply for a student visa.

Look at the programs that you want to apply to. Find out what the financial requirements are to get an I-20.

Best of luck.

I assumed his sister could show money for at least the first year. Not sure why he does not show his own funds.

Properties can be sold and wives can be left behind. Do you have a job? How much will the tuition be? Do you have enough to cover both tuition and living expenses?

First step is to get accepted to school and the only people who can really tell is the embassy.
