Meli&Tommy reacted to Ban Hammer in Caravan Of Liberal Americans Makes Way Toward Socialist Paradise Of Venezuela
MEXICO—A migrant caravan full of leftists desiring to enter the socialist paradise of Venezuela departed the United States Thursday and began marching toward through Mexico, stating they will demand asylum so they might experience the far better life that socialism offers.

The migrants claim they are leaving America because of its high standards of living, strong economy, and record unemployment, and hope to find a better life in Venezuela's much more equitable system.
"Everyone there has the same quantity of possessions and food," said one marcher. "Everyone makes millions of dollars, and very few people work. It's a real paradise." The refugees have complex motivations, but the vast majority simply want to see everything socialism has to offer after suffering the amazing benefits of capitalism for too long.

Though your story is not perfectly clear, you've openly admitted you lied in order to get immigration benefits, which is considered material misrepresentation and is grounds for a lifetime ban.

The law is worded such that the onus is on the applicant to prove that he or she has no immigrant intent. Obviously, and unfortunately, this is very hard to do with no ties. And yes your son may be honest, but he is paying for the many people before him who pretended to be genuine and then overstayed. They don’t hook applicants up to lie detectors.
In basic terms, they do a risk assessment and judge, and risks are high with no ties.

You may not realize this as an EU citizen, but the forms for schengen and especially U.K. visas are far more burdensome than the US (not to mention way more expensive in the case of the latter). This is not a US specific thing.

So I don't really understand if the primary goal of the OP is to save his relationship or to be able to live in the US.

Totally agreed on this.  The fact that OP is even considering getting a lawyer really indicates that they're in it for the green card, not for love.

OP if she says you shouldn't go - then thats what it means.  A "grand" gesture like getting on a plane and just showing up will not be welcome, appreciated or wanted. That is the very definition of gross, creepy behavior and as much of a red flag as your use of "acting up" - she is a grown woman and can act in any way she wants to without your permission or approval.

IMO this lady got out while the going was good. No one wants to be married to a misogynist who rebukes their spouse's behaviour online while simultaneously planning on violating the boundaries set by their spouse.

Would you be running to the US to attempt to save your relationship with your fiancé, or to save your path to US residency?

The ball is in her court right now. If she no longer wishes to continue the relationship, you cannot force her to return feelings she doesn’t have. Showing up at her doorstep if she has indicated she does not want you in her life is a really aggressive step, and I assure you it does not play out as well in reality as it does in a romantic comedy.

It could just be a language issue, but the use of “acting up” when talking about your fiancés behavior rubs me the wrong way.

Waiting on the OP to give feedback.

OP being Nigerian,  I won't be surprised if he attempts to get to the States and go AWOL, basically to use this opportunity as entry.

If she's "insisting that you do not come"....chances are just showing up at her home won't yield the results you're looking for..and could potentially get you into even more hot water if she calls the police on you for trespassing---besides which, it's not like you can force yourself into her home and demand she put you up, right?

There are no other options.  If she doesn't marry you within at least 90 days from your entry on a K-1, and thereby no AOS is filed, you have no legal avenue to remain in the USA.  No lawyer in the world can change that.

Count your lucky stars that you found out about this now, instead of years down the road and caught in a messy divorce and in a country (USA) with presumably very little of a support network for you.

Sadly, this part tells me that she's just "waiting the date out", and will probably avoid talking with you as much as she can until it actually expires.

Don't bother consulting with a lawyer. It will be a waste of time and money. Your case is simple, either you repair your relationship with your fiance allowing you to marry and immigrate to the US, or you don't and you proceed on with your life in your home country. Good luck.

You have no other immigration options through the K1 visa besides marrying your fiance who petitioned you, so forget about coming and consulting a lawyer.

I would also say, forget about coming and reconciling with your fiancee too.  If your expiration date is fast approaching that means it's probably been a few months already, she's not likely to change her mind by seeing you in the U.S. Sounds like she's done with you, whatever her reasons are.
