    Stefany got a reaction from Michael2017 in Medical in Greenberg Clinic in Sofia, Bulgaria Review
    When I received the brown packet from the embassy saying that an approved immigrant petition by an American citizen has arrived it was written that I should call the embassy and schedule an interview and after that to make an appointment to either Vita or Greenberg medical clinics.
    My interview was scheduled on 7th of December (I called on the 19th of November) and then my father called the Greenberg clinic (since he was a doctor) and they said I should come on the 4th of December to get my medical and bring the following documents:
    Document from my physician of all the vaccines made;
    Passport;
    4 passport pictures;
    The address I will be staying at in USA;
    The appointment was at 8:30AM, I got there at 8:20AM and a very nice lady (a nurse) took my passport and my pictures and my document from my GP with all the vaccinations I had received since he was my doctor. I also brought my Health Insurance Card (Здравна Книжка) but the lady said they don’t need it. I did not bring any immunization passport, since I didn’t have one and there was no problem. The lady made a copy of my passport, then handed it to me and told me to go downstairs to get my blood taken and my X-ray.
    I went downstairs and there was another couple waiting for the X-ray. I got my blood taken by a nurse (it hurt very little, they have very modern facilities
    ) then I was told to wait for my X-ray in the hallway. She took my passport and told me to get it at the reception upstairs when I am done with everything. After the other couple was done it was my turn.
    The X-ray picture was taken very quickly (the X-ray lady actually joked that it takes more time for the people to take their clothes off, rather than the actual shoot of the picture)
    Overall, the X-ray & the taking of blood took half an hour and they were very nice people. I was told to take a walk and return at 11AM so that the doctor will take a look at me.
    There was a very nice coffee house across the street that the coffee only cost 40 stotinki, so I went there and had two coffees & a cake while waiting.
    Important: Do not drink coffee or any drink that has caffeine because when the doctor examines you, she/he will measure your blood pressure and mine was high because of the coffee!
    When I returned at 11AM at the clinic, the couple was there before me so I sat down and waited. After my turn was up, the doctor examined me, checked my vision, touched my stomach, auscultated me (Преслуша ме със слушалка) and measured my blood pressure and she said was it was high, but only because I had the coffees (damn my coffee addiction )
    Then we sat down and she asked me a series of questions regarding my health, past illnesses, whether I have stayed in a hospital, whether I suffered from numerous diseases, do I have a depression, do I smoke ciggies or do weed, whether I have tattoos and so on. After that she said I should wait because my X-ray picture wasn’t ready yet and to have my shots (flu & rubella).
    After that I went back to the reception, I paid the fee which was 201.00BGN which was much less than we expected and the nurse vaccinated me from flu & rubella.
    After that I was handed two documents:
    The sealed envelope which I had to give to the embassy on the day of the interview;
    A vaccine document which I was told to carry with me when I POE and make a copy of it so that the immigration officers won’t take the only one I have
    And then I got on the train and went home
    I am very pleased, the fee wasn’t too high, the doctor, nurses and everyone in the clinic was nice and I had no problems.
    Good luck to everyone! You are welcome to PM me if you have questions.

    It is most likely this bill will die in committee. Even if it made it through to the President's desk, I doubt it would be signed.

    Wont happen, It makes more sense if there will be more restrictions on certain countries or nationalities, not to cancel the whole process.

    Not a problem. We all help each other here, and without this my fiancee and I would have had a much harder time with this process.
    While its never too early to start collecting evidence and getting ready, you really won't need to have the I-134 ready until your fiancee has reached the interview stage. When you submit your petition, it will go through a USCIS Service Center (likely California), and then to the NVC, and then to the embassy. This process will likely take several months. Once your petition has reached the embassy, they will send your fiancee a letter or email detailing all the items she has to bring for the interview and a completed I-134 will be one of those items they ask for in that request.

    I know I wasn't the one you quoted, but like I said in my earlier post I ways put my laptop in my checked bag. I don't have any special case for it just put it in between my clothes and it's fine. Have flown on at least 12-15 flights with it like that and never had anything break or worried about anything breaking.

    Assuming there's nothing barring your aunt from marrying you in the jurisdiction/county where you plan to get married, and as long as you have a valid marriage license from that county, then there should be no problem with her officiating your marriage.
    Just remember, your fiance will arrive with basically no status, so the sooner you get married, the sooner he can apply for the green card, and the sooner he'll be able to work, get a driver's license, apply for credit, travel again, etc.
    You can only get married once, but you can obviously have as many ceremonies as you want. My wife and I were officially married on paper at the courthouse within a week of me arriving, which allowed us to get the green card paperwork started. We then went on to have a full-blown ceremony months later with all the friends and family, going through all the motions of a real wedding. The only people that didn't know it wasn't a real wedding were the two of us and our parents. Even the officiant (a family friend) wasn't aware.

    Having met both TBone and Mrs TB in person I can attest to that. She is a beautiful, charming woman, very self-assured and with a very good sense of humour. She and Mr. TBone are actually a great match and I know she often gives him a 'run for his money' so to speak. You do notice, of course, in these re-countings, that Mrs. TBone almost always ends up with the upper hand?

    In a couple weeks she had them all down.

    I just want to say how sorry I am for what may come of this for you. My heart is so heavy for all of the innocent people who are put in a disadvantaged situation based on the country they happen to be born in. It's situations like this that really reinforce my goal to become an immigration lawyer myself. I really hope you are able to complete the process and be reunited with your husband as soon as possible, and that your life together in the U.S. is filled with joy and prosperity.

    I am sure that after what happened on Dec 2nd, immigration is going to get a lot more difficult. You are definitely hearing more about the K1 Visa process in the media after this. The thing I don't like is that we all know what the process is and how difficult it can be, yet media bring their "immigration lawyers" on there to talk about it and the funny thing is - I know more about the K1 Visa process (thanks to Visa Journey and our own journey thru it) than the lawyer they interviewed.

    It is a shame that possibly one bad person can make the process more difficult for real, honest and true loving relationships. I know we must be vigilant, but shaming the K1 Visa process just rubs me the wrong way. Just my opinion

    I sent an 8" binder and had another 8" binder compiled of new evidence by the time he went for his interview (which they never looked at, great, that was 16 hours wasted). I sent them a rock and an olive amongst my evidences for our original petition. I sent them a map and corresponding receipt database of CC usage in relation to the house with buffer zones in a nice GIS layered rendering for his removal of conditions, included in the 6" binder I sent (I got a bit more streamlined and held back this time). If you ever want/need to know what MORE you could send, I am there for you. Seriously.
    I think the part of the reason we were approved so fast all the time without questions and such is because they were scared I would send more rocks and such.
    USCIS is my new remote storage facility.

    Do you have ANYTHING joint? Health insurance?
    Your wife chose to go through the visa process, which is expensive, long, and stressful. Not to be rude, but it feels a bit odd, that after you came here she became so selfish, she refused to commingle with you in any way.
    Do you have photographs? Receipts of gifts you bought for each other? The fact that your license shows the same address as hers only shows you live together, it is barely an evidence of a true marriage.
    I know of a couple of cases where the USC "freaked out" after the foreign fiancé came to America, because it is so different than spending two weeks vacationing somewhere, but even those couple of cases I've heard of got joint health insurance, a joint bank account, etc...
