FYI:  I used Chrome on my windows 10 PC today to fill N-400, upload docs, I see the docs in the review section, and submitted.  Post submission, my USCIS online account shows the docs. No issues encountered.

If it fails the first time, it's likely because your bank denied the transaction. Then call up your bank, let them know there is a transaction coming as you reattempt, and then try a 2nd time.

Applied N-400 online today 4/24
Later today I see online the "Receipt" notice, followed by the "Bio Reuse" notice.  As well as the "processing time is down" message.
 
So it's happening to new applications as of Saturday 4/24/2021

Now, if they only give the passport same day ....

Just had the interview today in local Raleigh/Durham, NC office and passed the exam
They performed the oath as well and I got my certificate!

10/22 received Bio Reuse notice.
11/5 received notice that interview is being scheduled in Raleigh

Very exciting and reading the timeline, I'm sure it was disheartening seeing the biometrics apt get pushed out mulitple times.
 
Quick question, as I have an upcoming N400 interview in Raleigh/Durham office as well next month:
   Did you have to request the Oath to be administered after passing the interview, or is that standard procedure now?
 
It would be SO convenient to have both items at same time.
 

Yes this is normal.
NBC is National Benefits Center.
i dont know if all center's are NBC and then you have to look at the actual location the case is at.  For me, the "reuse" letter only said NBC.  It was in the I-797 NOA letter that said NBC- KS (Kansas).  That's where I assume my case is.

Hi folks,
I filed online Sept 30 at 11:38pm EST and the fee was charged to my cc on 30th.
When I logged online, i see "Submitted on Oct 1, 2020"
I received my hardcopy NOA in the mail Monday Oct 5th, showed location as Overland Park, Kansas
Estimated case completion time "March 2021 (5 months)" 
 
Is there not a table used for each of us?

Seems the site was updating my case (for an hour) but is showing info now.
 
The update was Biometrics appointment, it's not needed.
They will reuse past Biometrics.
And made a point to say the BioM fee will not be refunded.
 
At least passed another checkmark!
(9/30 N-400 submit date
10/2 NOA
10/22 dated Bio update)

We are giving you your PhD, but your Bachelors degree is under review?
At least we know it's not uncommon, if you read up on some of the other months cases, or the 'combo' thread, others have had same experience.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Zedayn is correct, and I speak from experience as I went ONE day after the cut-off time.
Next step? Continue filing for EAD/AOS, do the fingerprint in about 2-3w from filing, and EAD will come in about 9-10w from filing, then you can go to SSN from my understanding.

Medical exam "can be" scheduled prior to scheduling the biometrics and interview for K1 visa, BUT the Medical exam a) must happen before those AND b) for the day of the Medical Exam, the doctor's office said to bring the confirmed appointment letter/notice else they were not going to conduct the medical exam. NOTE, I said "can be" because we did, but they asked for visa interview date (and inherently the bio date) when we tried scheduling the Medical exam. My advice = schedule the bio and visa interview and then schedule the medical exam.

To answer the other aspect of your question, aside from the communication with your fiancee there really isnt much to do until you get NOA2. THEN you can prep by getting the following ready:
- Police Clearance Certificate
- Make sure Passports wont expire within the next year
- I-134 Affidavit of Support and supporting material (Employment Verification, Bank Statements, Taxes)
