Hi all!

I submitted my application on May 4th online and received an email of receipt and biometric reuse notice right after I submitted it.

Also, I got both receipt and notice by mail today!

Hello All,

I intend to file my N-400 in a few months and curiously checked the requirements.

My question is the for the 3 years IRS transcripts does it matter if we filed as Married filing jointly, separately or if we file as Head of Household ?

I will be eligible on May 27th and that's when I plan to file. Quick Question, are we able to save the application while filling out the application. Are we able to fill, save, log out and then log back in!

Based on what read here and from other forum... Jointly or separately are the best option but whatever the tax filing type is, as long as you can give a valid reason to convince the interviewer in case he/she ask you about it then you have nothing to worry about.

Hello everyone,

I am currently filling online (marriage n-400). 'Evidence about your marriage' part, I was wondering what kind of document you uploaded? I feel like I was missing something. And also, did you rename the file name before you uploaded it? what format of renaming? now my files are all over the place. Some have month/year on the file names, some don't. Also, what document did you file on 'Additional evidence'? So far these are what I have for my application: (no kid, no real estate)

  • Joint bank statement (do we provide every month? so far I uploaded the oldest and newest month)
  • Credit card statement (I uploaded year-end summary for 2019 & 2020)
  • 401K/403 Beneficiaries
  • Investment Beneficiaries
  • 3 years tax transcripts
  • Insurance (company and car)

Thanks in advanced!

Hi guys,

I am completing N-400 online to file based on 3-year rule (married to US citizen).

I do not understand where to upload my spouse's naturalization certificate and 'evidence about marriage' (such as leases/bank statements etc.).

Somehow, the online form only asks me for my green card, marriage certificate, children birth certificates and tax transcripts. But nothing like proof of US citizen spouse US citizenship or 'evidence about marriage'. Is it okay? Or you had the online form explicitly asking you for a proof of your spouse citizenship?

This is more than enough. Those that i known normally just upload a FEW, and its up for you to decide which ones you would like to upload  but never ever forget the primaries, gc, marriage cert divorce cert kids bc if any and then bring all the others supporting docs in at the interviews. You'll never know which ones IO will ask you for him/her to look at so bring all you can. Its normal to see those atending interviews carrying bags of files no joke. Also theres no standard on naming convention i suggest make the filename short but descriptive enough.

Watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNtWN8jRWNg and skip until the end about at 30:00,  It aint explicitly specified,  it just say in general "Additonal Evidence you want to provide" you can put it in there and just bring all others supporting docs at the interview.

You have 30 days to save everything you put on till the system erases it, and the best part of it is, after you logout saving everything and login next day (or even a few days after) by hitting the button "continue" you immediately then getting another 30 days
