Well unfortunately we know fromm prior months that USCIS seems to be fulfilling an RFE quota.
Half the people getting RFEs are actually for things already sent- not necessarily someone being careless like some people think.
It sucks that they're stalling people's lives like this. But it's an easy fix for you so that's good.

NoProblem reacted to Chiefay in US Citizen Spouse denied visa US Embassy Ghana
Kris & me:Good you said it all, the immigration system for marriage is totally different. Most of the people don't understand how immigration works, we have two(2)common words in immigration processing but the meaning for that two (2)common words are stressful(REFUSED AND DENIED)Some certain cases COs can refused for lack of documents and evidences submitted and the case will send back to USCIS for further investigation and if everything works in good they send the case back to COs where you interview for approval and it take a lots of time.Denied is a denied you can't do anything about it,normally(10)out of(100)cases are mostly denied and (90)out of(100)are refused. So all cases refused by COs got second chance to proved your eligibility. All the cases has been review by COs before the interview so if you are approved they know before your interview. Keep it up and good luck.

This was bought up in husband's post
it can be thought that he is not qualified for a decent job in the US because of lack of education and unable to support you thru your child bearing years when you will be out of work for a period of time
and yes, write to me
i will tell you the BS i had to do to get my husband here
mostly it will be commingly of fianances / a step usually not taken till husband is in the US
we really are alll here to help each other

What did the CO say when he or she handed you 221G? He could have said, we need more time on your application or did he say he is not satisfied in one way or the other. Did you ask him or her if this was a denial or something else. As John said, its not a denial if they kept your passport. It can takes weeks or a few months.

We just completed all three DS-160s. It was pretty painless. Now onto paying for the visas (if the internet is back up in the Philippines)!

He is a good guy. I met him for the first time last night and we could have talked all night. I met Gina on Skype and he met Rose on FaceTime. Rose and Gina live in adjacent towns! It is a smaller world than we think.

hello fellow September filers
Thanks be to God we got our silent NOA2 via mail (hard copy) last 19Mar2018 USA/AZ.
Our NOA1 received on 11Sep2017 and NOA2 approved on 13Mar2018.
Sadly there is no online update for our case. We don’t know why.
Anyway, what matters now is we got our NOA2 hardcopy.

Just an update: Spoke to a liaison person at my IL senators office. She spoke to someone at CSC on March 5 and then today again. The person from CSC said my case is over the normal processing time, it was already assigned but since its has not moved, they will call the senators office today to let them know latest on it. According to the information, they are just short handed and I am not under any security check.
I will contact CSC next week to find out about my status inquiry that I submitted Feb. 20 and again resubmitted around 20 days back.

I’m a May Filer and got Approved Feb.8. 9 months, and there is still a couple more waiting. I didn’t get an RFE nothing...... 9 months for the NOA2, after that we completed the process in just a couple days over a month. So NOA2 - NVC - Transit - Medical - Scheduling and Approval
about 35 days. It moves very fast after that.

We never know what is fair and what is good for us. Many here got their visas so quickly and then ended up separating. My point it, do your best effort and then enjoy the ride, dont feel distressed since distress will harm no one except you.

Today's response from CSC
Thank you for your inquiry. We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of these checks before we make a decision on any pending case.
We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these background checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as these checks are complete.
UGHHH!!!
