    "8. Having Poor Communication
Poor communication is the number one reason that can affect your case in a negative way. If your English is not that great, then you should request for a regional language interpreter. They are offered at the beginning of the interview."
Not always. My fiance asked for translator, but CO refused and stated if you don't speak good English; how can you be in relationship??? CO did speak my fiance's language, but still conducted it in English. Luckily, we had really good relationship evidence.

I brought a dog, but it was very long time ago. We just had paper from vey that he was healthy and up to date with all vaccinations. Nobody questioned anything. Some airlines allow small dogs/cats on board in cage.

For AOS you do not need to send any proof. Save that for an interview. We didn't have interview and green card came in a mail. No proofs were sent with AOS.

I found a sample copy online, filled it out for my fiancé and send him picture for him to mirror. He spoke basic English, but I didn't want him to make a mistake. All he needed was to copy what I sent him on the plane.

I sent 100 pics to USCIS and none of them were forwarded to the embassy. CO asked for pictures and he reviewed them on the spot. Luckily we brought some to the interview.

So finally great news! Online status says card was mailed. Yippieeeee! Over 1 year of waiting.
Just FYI, our medical was expired (made in 2014) and we did not get RFE for a new medical. I was worried about that and it was fine. Finally wait is over until ROC

My husband was given 221g and was advised he is in AP. After 4.5 months of waiting visa was approved. Most men from MENA countries are given AP for security checks. Just be patient. Also them keeping your passport is good news. I know AP is a very stressful time. Good Luck!

OMG, CO said exactly same thing!!!! My fiancé was refused a translator as well. CO made my fiancé very nervous at the beginning, but luckily he managed and CO changed his attitude towards the end. We went through hell with 4.5 mos in AP, I even traveled to Armenia to meet my fiancé again while waiting in AP only to came back to USA to find out his visa was approved just few days after our returns. So he had to go there again to pick it up. The whole process took almost 1.5 years to bring him here, but well worth it. So advise to those who wait, never give up!

I am sooo sorry this happened to you!!!! My fiancé (at the time) was interviewed by the same CO (there is only one in Yerevan to interview Iranians for K1). He gave my fiancé really hard time. I am not Iranian and he spoke broken English, so CO told him I don't believe you can be in relationship if you speak bad English. (No issues for us, I speak several languages and can communicate with anyone that speaks poorly). Also we have age difference, but that was never mentioned. (We both were never married and no kids.) He probably would of been denied, but we provided really good evidence. I met him 5 times and I traveled for the interview (I was not let in, but CO knew I was outside). I provided almost 15 lbs of evidence (tons of pictures from vacations together, FB posts, chats, my conversations with his family and his with mine, whatever I could find I printed). I thought better more then less. CO rolled his eyes after seeing pile of papers and folders, but kept everything and put us in AP for 4.5 mos. We thought the worse, but he got approved and is here with me now. Please don't give up! Try to figure out possible reason for denial and overcome it for the next time. I don't know how to guide you and which direction to go at this time, but just wanted to wish you lots of luck in this difficult battle!

It took way over a year for our K1 visa process..it was the most stressful time of my life, but I knew that I cannot do anything to move it faster. I heard someone complaining that the whole process took 2 months for getting visa in their hands (10 days for NOA2 @CSC). I just took it as life is unfair at times and concentrated on other things. There always will be unfairness and sometimes we don't have any other choice but to accept it Hope all goes smoothly for everyone that is waiting.

Embassy keeping passport is usually a good sign. My fiance at that time got his passport back and was put in AP. He was not told that he was approved, but to just wait for AP. I hear of cases where passports were kept and embassy refused to tell them if they were approved. Everything will be ok, don't worry!

I was shocked too..he was denied a translator as well. CO spoke his language, but kept talking in English. Luckily, my fiance is much better in written English and I provided ton of written evidence, besides we went on vacation together several times. Maybe it was just that CO, I hope.

Actually you need to contact embassy in Seoul as they officially need to request the file to be sent to them. I went through the same thing. It will take 1 month or so. In this case NVC will not help you. Good Luck!

It's been a very long journey for me and outcome is still unknown/pending. I am walking "ball of stress". The waiting is killing me, but there is nothing I can do, but just to wait, otherwise I would end up in mental hospital. I waited 6 months at TSC. Also bothered me when I heard people complaining about 2 weeks of wait. TSC really needs to get it's s**** together. 7 months is outrageous!!!

After visa is approved and they keep your passport it always shows AP until visa is printed. Its normal. As to AP for security checks, consul advises that visa cannot be issued and applicant has to wait for it to be completed and that takes weeks/months. You can relax. Congrats!

Sooo soooo sorrryyyy for this happening to you!!!!!!!!!!! This is horrible news! CEAC is showing Administrative Processing and not refused. There is hope. Maybe they decided to review it a bit more and there is hope. I spoke to people who received refusal letter and immediately "refused" showed on the website! I really hope for your miracle.
