  1. Establishment types have no use for the truth.
  2. Not very long to the best of my knowledge. They issue them by mail now. However, after reading this it seems she does not need an ADIT stamp if she still has a valid extension letter. Hopefully the GC will come sooner than estimated and this will no longer be an issue. Also, it is a good idea to have a handy copy of the CBP carrier guide. https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2023-Nov/Carrier Information Guide ENGLISH.pdf Note: If you were issued an extension notice after filing, and you are in possession of your expired Permanent Resident Card (PRC), please show these two documents as your valid proof of status upon request. If you are not in possession of your expired Permanent Resident Card, your extension notice is no longer valid, please make an appointment to obtain proof of status. https://my.uscis.gov/accounts/appointment_request/overview
  3. The expired GC and valid extension letter should suffice, but if worried, I would suggest attempting to get an ADIT stamp since the 10yr GC has been approved. Good Luck!
  4. What that means is that a person cannot AOS as there is no visa number available for the beneficiary. Numerically limited visa categories such as the family based groups (F1, F2A/F2B, F3, and F4) are limited in numbers each year. When an I130 is filed for someone in that category, it sits in limbo until nearing a time when a visa is actually available. When attempting an AOS from one of these categories, the beneficiary has to have a visa available before they can attempt the AOS. The same is not true of categories such as IR1, IR2, or IR5 that are no numerically limited.
  5. Hard to say, all you can really do is apply and find out. Good Luck!
  6. Thanks, I missed the part of this being an F2A case.
  7. Considering folks, especially in the LA area, are stealing fire hydrants, and traffic signal wiring, I can't imagine these hefty cables at DC fast charging sites would last long. Thefts of charging cables pose yet another obstacle to appeal of electric vehicles https://www.wtae.com/article/electric-vehicle-charging-cables-theft/61087733
  8. Not really. The person who wrote the initial article only spent a little time with the tribe, and essentially was touting the benefits and there certainly are benefits with the internet. Overall, it sounded like a petulant response to all the news sources jumping on the negatives of the internet. Regardless, as time moves on, it seems clear what will happen. Btw, the article was free to me at least when I found it, now it is paywalled as I would never spend hard earned money on NYTimes.
  9. As mentioned, decide for yourself based on your political desires, and when some simply say one Party is better than the other, take that with a grain of salt. Also remember that local elections are extremely important (it is not just all about who is running for President, Governor or Senator). Congrats on your naturalization!
  10. Interesting. Some folks in the entertainment industry actually aren't so petulant. Scores of actresses turn down roles in play critical of JK Rowling’s gender views The stage production, which is set to debut at the Edinburgh Fringe, has already caused outrage over a working title which labelled the gender-critical Harry Potter author a c----. The production is yet to cast any of the female roles, including that of Rowling herself. The part of Harry Potter film star Emma Watson has also been repeatedly turned down, and around 90 actresses have refused to take part in the project amid concerns over its critique of Rowling. https://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/other/scores-of-actresses-turn-down-roles-in-play-critical-of-jk-rowling-s-gender-views/ar-BB1oa9Am
  11. You should be fine. My now wife was denied a B2 twice for the same lack of ties, and she was previously divorced before we eventually filed the I129F, and we had no issues. Good Luck!
  12. It really depends on your plans. You mention she is currently in the U.S. planning on returning in 3 months. If that is the case, she can choose to AOS now assuming you have all the evidence to file, but the IV vs AOS question should reflect what your long term plans are. She cannot decide in a few months or so after returning she would like to come back to the U.S. and AOS as that would be fraud, so if your plan is to pursue the spousal visa, I would stick with that and she can use her B2, but she should be careful of abusing it (I.e short stays with more time outside the U.S. than inside). Good Luck!
  13. As long as you have all the evidence of legal termination of previous marriages, and there was no material misrepresentation that led to the B2 denial you should be fine. Good Luck!
  14. Even if the CO thought this was a situation where they thought the couple were “too married” for a K1, they should have informed the beneficiary during the interview rather than leave them in the dark. That being said, this is certainly a possibility as to why this was sent back to USCIS.
  15. Unfortunately no, this will not be available.
  16. The online case status can alternate between Administrative Processing and Refused, but as long as it does not say Denied/Rejected you are still fine. As far as I have been able to deduce, Administrative Processing means someone is actively doing something with your case, but the visa has still not been officially Issued, and Refused means the case is still sitting in limbo awaiting all the rest of the work. Hopefully you will see the message "Issued" soon as it sounds like your interview went well. Good Luck!
  17. To my knowledge, the Utah Zoom marriage is accepted at all consulates as long as you meet the requirement of meeting in person (consummating the marriage) either during or after the ceremony. Why not go to India, and do the Utah Zoom marriage while you are together? You can then submit the I130 as soon as you get the marriage certificate which I understand is done electronically for this type of ceremony. Good Luck!
  18. Apparently this was on the side of fake news at least at this point in time. No, a Remote Amazon Tribe Did Not Get Addicted to Porn https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/11/world/americas/no-a-remote-amazon-tribe-did-not-get-addicted-to-porn.html
  19. Hmm, I thought Trump was supposed to be against Trump? Trump says he ‘would like to see’ Larry Hogan win Senate race in Maryland https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-says-he-would-like-to-see-larry-hogan-win-senate-race-in-maryland/ar-BB1obqFS?ocid=BingNewsSerp
  20. Except every drug has side effects, and many Drs. Tend to gloss over those. With all the drug advertising, and the multi-billion dollar drug industry, who knows what to believe. I took the drug information the Dr. gave me and did my own research, and took in the totality of everything, and I made my choice good bad or otherwise. In the end, we are all going to end the same way.

  23. A bit of a petulant court ruling, but decided to put it here. Even the Swiss seem to be getting frustrated by these puppet courts and their rulings. Switzerland Considers Defying Climate Court Order Switzerland, however, has been defiant toward the ruling so far. A parliamentary committee has rejected the ruling, while the upper house slammed the court’s “judicial activism”. The upper house, leaning right, has argued that Switzerland does not need to take further action because it is already doing enough to combat climate change. Apart from setting precedents, the Swiss case highlights the backlash against climate rulings globally. If Switzerland refuses to implement the court ruling to do more to fight climate change, it could “set a concerning precedent, undermining the role of legal oversight in democratic governance,” Isabela Keuschnigg, legal researcher with the London School of Economics, told Reuters. https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Switzerland-Considers-Defying-Climate-Court-Order.html
