  1. Are there any other qualifying relatives?
  2. No policy changes have been announced regarding B2 visas for retirees. All she can do is fill out the DS160 honestly, and take whatever proof she has she is not intending to stay in the US. She can items like Dr. appointments she has in the near future or things like that, and other future obligations she might have to return. Good Luck!
  3. My company is going through similar staffing reviews. Based on other news there were nearly a million federal employees added over the past four years. Are they all needed? How many were added due to others not doing their jobs? There may be some initial impact, but maybe efficiency increases and more technology will alleviate that.
  4. I was going to say the birds will be happy. I also hear the days of remaining plant still operating are also numbered.
  5. Don't play that game with the visas. Have your sister enter the US as an FB1 to activate her GC, then she can get married. There is no advantage to getting married between the visa for an "unmarried child" being issued, and entering the US, and potential downsides especially in this current immigration environment. Good Luck!
  6. One wonders why the Democrats are fighting so hard against Kash. I suppose Cocaine Mitch will vote against him again, but for some reason Murkowski, and Collins are not siding with him.
  7. Hard to say, they did poach the DC from the Lions.
  8. Maybe here. That should define the Family Preference visa classes, and if your circumstances change moving you to a different class, then you can contact USCIS, NVC or the consulate (depending on where the case is) to have your case adjusted. For more information, see the following: INA 203(a) – Preference allocation for family-sponsored immigrants INA 212(a) – Classes of Aliens Ineligible for Visas or Admission INA 245 – Adjustment of Status of Nonimmigrant to that of a Person Admitted for Permanent Residence 8 CFR 245 – Adjustment of Status to that of a Person Admitted for Permanent Residence USCIS Policy Manual, Volume 7, Part A, Adjustment of Status Policies and Procedures USCIS Policy Manual, Volume 7, Part B, 245(a) Adjustment USCIS Policy Manual Volume 8, Admissibility USCIS Policy Manual Volume 9, Waivers https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-eligibility/green-card-for-family-preference-immigrants
  9. Possibly. We don’t really know the algorithm USCIS uses to determine if biometrics will be waived. Logically, one would think if you did biometrics somewhere (in your case the consulate prior to your IR1) in the past 5 years or so USCIS would waive them, but who knows for sure. Good Luck!
  10. I would never assume a lawyer or a visa service is correct. It is still up to the petitioner to make sure the package (I130) is correct and includes all the evidence you can submit before signing anything. Now a lawyer or visa service may have some suggestions, but each case is different, and not everyone has the same evidence before submitting. Some petitioners submit the minimum evidence and have no problems, and some front load the I130 with a lot of evidence and still get RFEs, no one can give guarantees. I agree with @Daphne ., not much has changed in the past several years relative to the I130 process for a spouse. Good Luck!
  11. OK, so we are seeing more and more uncovered as to how corrupt DC insiders are. I would not be surprised this is why characters like Cocaine Mitch, Queen Nancy, Maxine the Dream, and other octogenarians will not leave DC. USAID and George Soros’ Foundation Bankrolled a News Outlet That Spurred the First Trump Impeachment https://www.dailysignal.com/2025/02/07/usaid-george-soros-foundation-bankrolled-news-outlet-spurred-first-trump-impeachment/
  12. I agree, but as mentioned it is a rock and a hard place for the OP unless they really want to try and fight with the consulate.
  13. Excellent analysis. I do wish VDH would stop using the adjective "democratic" to describe a member of the Democrat Party. I am surprised he did not touch on the recent Democrat Party elections for party leadership. David Hogg, really!
  14. So how does the Democrat party respond, they elect David Hogg as a Vice Chair.
  15. Wow, that is really interesting that the consulate can force a USC to file taxes prior to the deadline especially as you are providing proof of ongoing income. Unfortunately, it appears you need to do that if at all possible and respond to the 221g with what they ask for. Good Luck!
  16. Hence all the caterwauling we are seeing and hearing today about what is happening. How else do elite DC insiders make their money?
  17. Where are you hearing that? If you have a good case and can provide solid evidence for the I130 filing, I would file as soon as you can. Good Luck!
  18. Not sure, you can try searching your profile on USCIS to see if you can find the address they have on record. Yes, the I90 is the only option for replacing a lost or incorrect GC. I would check the information you submitted to USCIS/DoS and make sure this was not your fault as if the error is due to a USCIS error, you should not have to pay for it. I am not aware of being able to expedite, but you can continue to get ADIT stamps for proof of your LPR status. Good Luck!
  19. I love reading some of the whack job extreme leftist sources have to share. This one is great. Of course the overall premise is wrong (no climate change did not cause the hurricanes, nor the fires in CA). I also love how it fails to mention that it was the Biden Admin (run by Hunter) that was in charge when the hurricane hit. What is also amazing is how they think it is amazing how people come together when a natural disaster occurs. This type of neighborliness should be the norm, not depending on some government entity. The People in Charge Won’t Save Us From Climate Catastrophe. We’ll Need to Do It Ourselves. https://www.thenation.com/article/environment/north-carolina-mutual-aid-hurricane-helene/
  20. I will always suggest the spousal visa route, but either way there is going to be some separation during the process. If you want to stay together while the I130 is processing, and until the visa interview, your best bet is you moving to Canada, but keep in mind you have to show the consulate in Montreal your solid evidence of US domicile. Good Luck!
  21. This is even more amazing. Smartest man I guess. Li alleges that, following Biden’s disastrous debate drubbing, Hunter essentially took over White House operations. Speaking with podcaster Shawn Ryan, she painted a picture of dysfunction at the highest levels of government: “After the [CNN] debate, Hunter basically commandeered the White House. He sat in on all of the White House top-level meetings. We had a former cocaine addict sitting in on the most sensitive meetings of the most consequential and most important government in world history. Does that sit right with you?"
  22. Used to be a big college football fan, but the current state of it (particularly the seemingly unregulated transfer portal) makes it less enticing at least to me (hard to root for my favorite team when who knows if the players will stay more than a year or so). Ice Hockey was a main staple when the Wings were good. I hardly ever watch NBA or MLB games, and I did jump on the Lions bandwagon this past season.
  23. Could be. How does Chile treat those types of unions?
