Hmm, apparently the leftist gaslighting about the mayor worried about the safety of the participants was just that. Anyway, this qualifies as a bunch of petulant lefties/establishment types. Cancel culture comes to Brussels The director was adamant that he believed in tolerance and loved free speech — then came the “but.” And I knew our booking would be canceled. When I asked why, the director replied that he was scared for his staff, who felt intimidated by the news that left-wing AntiFa activists were going to attack the venue. And when I suggested that surely the police would protect the site, he informed me that the mayor of Brussels had decided not to provide any police protection for our conference. He also indicated that as far as he was concerned, he didn’t want the NatCon conference to take place. I observed that obviously the issue of security served as a pretext for canceling our event, with the language of safety masking what was ultimately a political decision. The director smiled and nodded in agreement. https://www.politico.eu/article/cancel-culture-comes-to-brussels/

Hmm, climate change and pro-Hamas sentiments are now being tied together? Not really surprising, follow the money. Police arrest young climate protesters for blocking street near Kamala Harris’ home Harris did not interact with the demonstrators, as her motorcade took an alternate route from her home to Los Angeles International Airport that morning. She flew to Las Vegas to speak about a recent federal gun safety law and attend an event advocating reproductive rights. A crowd of about 40 youthful activists set up camp near Harris’ house Sunday, vowing to stay through the night if she did not meet their demands on climate change and Israel. https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-04-15/youth-climate-advocates-protest-outside-kamala-harris-house

Wokeiness goes amok when the establishment embraces it. Police Scotland swamped with more than 7,000 complaints in first week of new hate crime laws Cops were swamped with thousands of anonymous complaints in the week after Scotland's controversial new hate crime laws took effect, the force has confirmed. Analysis by Police Scotland published showed just 240 crimes and 30 non-crime incidents were ultimately recorded from 7,152 complaints in the week beginning April 1. The force said the vast majority of complainers chose to remain anonymous when completing the online complaint form. The new hate crime legislation came into force on April 1 an immediately prompted a massive backlash from critics including JK Rowling who worried it would curtail free speech. The law also proved a headache for cops as the simple process to record a complaint was quickly shared on social media - with thousands of pointless allegations logged as a result. Nearly half of all the complaints made online were filed on April 1. The Scottish Police Federation (SPF) - which represents rank-and-file officers - today branded the new law "a financial disaster in the making". David Kennedy, SPF general secretary, said: "Officer numbers in Scotland are down by 1,000. We are asked to take a proportionate response and not investigate minor crimes. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/newsscotland/police-scotland-swamped-with-more-than-7-000-complaints-in-first-week-of-new-hate-crime-laws/ar-BB1lnVnd

Of course Petulant Joe doesn't define "fair share", and since salaries are mostly based on profits, what is the "fair share" of zero? The only reason the WNBA is still around is it is subsidized by the NBA. Additionally, with the Bidenmentia logic, shouldn't UFL players make the same salary as NFL players?

Being a business owner is not a bar to being a joint sponsor. The big challenge though is business owners have much more complex taxes which can cause NVC and possibly the consulates confusion. This is why I would only use the tax transcripts in this case. Also, yes, if your joint sponsor has their most recent tax transcripts, you only need to upload those. Good Luck!

DCF Indonesia (Jakarta) v.s. Filing Online
Dashinka replied to Womby314's topic in Asia: East and Pacific
Overall, the consulate process would stay the same relative to the visa interview. As @Boiler mentioned, the DCF route is much faster as the consulate handles the entire process (no USCIS and no NVC) which is why consulates only do this based on exceptional circumstances (see link). Good Luck! https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-6-part-b-chapter-3 -
After the divorce is sorted out, your best option is a spousal visa, but as the other responses have said, it will be scrutinized particularly if the marriage is very soon after the divorce and it appears your relationship started prior to the divorce. That being said, it is not insurmountable, but it will take a lot of work on both of your parts, and a lot of in person time together during the process. Good Luck!

I am a US Citizen with intent to marry a Russian woman. I want to file for the K1 Visa so we can be in the US together more quickly but I am confused by the information I see that she will have to do the interview in Warsaw, Poland.

The processing times at USCIS for the I129F can vary widely (8-16 months) depending on which service center gets your petition. Once that is complete and approved, then the petition is sent to the National Visa Center which is part of the Department of State, and they will route it to the appropriate consulate (anywhere from 1 to 4 months). Then you are at the mercy of the consulate and their workload which can also be several months before the actual visa interview. Yes, even a K1 can take 12-24 months from petition to visa issuance and US entry. Good Luck! -

Here is a thread discussing the issues around visa and Russia. I also reported your post to the moderators to have it moved to the RUB regional subforum where you may receive more current responses. Good Luck! -

Well done piece by RCI outlining the whistleblower Eric Ciaramella's role under Biden. Great analysis. NPR’s queen of the Karens Sometimes, a person enters the public spotlight and is such an embodiment of an established stereotype that it seems impossible for him or her to be a real person. If Tom Wolfe wanted to capture the essence of arrogant, alienated progressivism, he would reject NPR’s new CEO, Katherine Maher, as too unbelievably on point. The daughter of wealthy parents whose wedding was announced in the New York Times, Maher grew up in a wealthy white suburb of New York City before studying at the American University in Cairo, the Institut français du Proche-Orient in Syria, and finally New York University. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/2967375/nprs-queen-of-the-karens/
