  1. Oh, the dastardly banana. Of course being a Monty Python fan, it brought back memories. UCLA Encampment Warns Public to Keep Bananas Away, But Counter-Protesters Soon Arrive with the Fruit https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/ucla-encampment-warns-public-to-keep-bananas-away-but-counter-protesters-soon-arrive-with-the-fruit/ar-AA1nT2Nb
  2. I wonder if that was the strategy for the fees added to EAD/AP with the AOS.
  3. I agree, more facetime together is probably warranted here. A K1 is not for maybe getting married, there was a story of somebody attempting to enter on a K1 getting turned away when they appeared to be flippant with their answer to the question from CBP about actually getting married. So sort out your budding relationship, visit a few more times if able, and do the route that is best for the both of you. Btw, a spousal visa is far superior to a K1 and now quite a bit less expensive. Also, applying for another B2 is probably a waste regardless of if she applies back in the Philippines. My now wife tried twice and was denied both time, but assuming there was no material misrepresentation in those applications, it should have no bearing on any subsequent K1 or CR1/IR1 (spousal visa). Good Luck!
  4. If there is no need to work or travel, then applying for an EAD is not really necessary. I know when my then wife applied for her AOS, we did apply for the EAD, but not the AP even though back then it was free. We did not see a need for travel, and this was before I found VJ and the I131 can be confusing especially if you do not have concrete travel plans and that form is used for other items. Anyway, the EAD back then showed up in a month or so, but the GC came a few months later so in our case even that was unnecessary. Good Luck!
  5. Sounds like this guy is trying to get another fee by convincing your mom to apply for an unnecessary B2 visa (I assume he charges to help people fill out the DS160 form for a B2 application). As others have said, run away from this guy as there have been many B2 "helpers" that end up screwing up the intending applicant down the road by doing things like saying the applicant is married when they are not. Good Luck!
  6. Yes, if the extension is not approved, then all the time accrued since the I94 expired counts toward an overstay, the B2 is lost, and a bar would be in place. Not really a good gamble IMO. Good Luck!
  7. If it is a complicated pregnancy then maybe. If that is the case then you will need evidence from your Dr. to submit with the expedite request.
  8. Considering USCIS primarily runs on the funds received from legal immigration, this is absurd. Paying customers should be priority 1.
  9. So from the same school as Obama I guess. Of course you forgot about him. ”Four more years…Pause…”
  10. I agree with the other responses. Since you haven’t filed anything yet, and it appears there is a desire to have a traditional wedding, you might be better off with a spousal visa. Overall, a spousal visa is quite a bit cheaper, and much superior over the K1. Good Luck!
  11. Generally pregnancy is not a basis for an expedite, but it is free to try. Good Luck! https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/expedite-requests
  12. Actually I believe Russia and Ukraine are two of the most corrupt countries in Europe. Also as to prosecuting politically corrupt past Presidents look at the ROK. Too bad the U.S. doesn’t prosecute past Presidents for political corruption, Old Corrupt Joe should be first one in line followed by Obama, Bush and Clinton.

  14. Apparently nothing is off limits to these terrorists. George Soros and the Soros family should be proud. Horror as GWU protester carries sign with Nazi ‘final solution’ call for extermination of Jews A despicable anti-Israeli protester has sparked horror after being photographed at George Washington University with a sign calling for the “final solution,” the Nazi plan to exterminate all Jews. The unidentified man was seen mingling among students on the Washington, DC, campus carrying a huge Palestinian flag — and the sign with the expression Adolf Hitler used to sum up his plan for the “annihilation of the Jews.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/horror-as-gwu-protester-carries-sign-with-nazi-final-solution-sign-calling-for-extermination-of-jews/ar-AA1nIdTJ

  17. Hmm, so in her eyes all the Jews should move to Poland?
  18. Not sure I completely buy VDH's conclusion that Western "leaders" will no longer respect Iran. I suspect the Obama/Biden teams still plan to lick at Iran's rear end. Iran's Nightmares https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2024/04/26/irans_nightmares_150847.html
  19. Only going to get worse. Any punishment needs to be public as the general public has lost sight of accountability.
  20. Seems like this could be related to international relationships and immigration. How AI is revolutionizing Internet fraud and romance scams Federal investigators warn that a new wave of romance scammers is using artificial intelligence to generate fake photos, audio, and even videos. This technological advancement makes it easier to pull off a romance scam and harder to spot one. Rao said, "It's chilling and it makes it hard for law enforcement to intervene." Prosecuting romance scammers can be challenging, in large part because many of them operate overseas. However, federal prosecutors have shown they will pursue cases aggressively when they have the opportunity. In 2021, 35 people in North Texas were indicted on federal charges related to romance scams that stole $17 million from more than 100 victims nationwide. In March, one of the women involved in the scheme received a 10-year prison sentence and was ordered to pay $2 million in restitution. If you have become a victim, experts say to contact your bank right away and tell them what happened. Also, report the crime to the Federal Trade Commission. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/how-ai-is-revolutionizing-internet-fraud-and-romance-scams/ar-AA1nwFuz
  21. This is hard to predict, but from what you said, it appears she has fairly strong tie to Indonesia. I would put self financed. You can work out the financials between yourselves afterward. She has to disclose any relatives currently in the U.S. As to purpose for the trip, it sounds like she is taking a vacation. Good Luck!
  22. If the beneficiary makes a job change they can update that information when they submit the DS160 and go to the interview. The I129F is a snapshot in time when filed with respect to employment history of the petitioner and beneficiary. Good Luck!
  23. This should be helpful. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/expedite-requests#:~:text=You may request that USCIS expedite the adjudication, expedite is within the sole discretion of USCIS. Good Luck!
  24. You should be fine with a copy of the BC, or a copy of the passport bio page, and more than likely no one will ask to see them. Good Luck!
  25. Don't worry about notifying USCIS at this point. When the petition gets to the consulate via NVC, she will need to fill out her current employment history as well as disclose her income. Good Luck! P.S. Since the process is heavy for the USC at this point, you may suggest for your fiancé to set up a VJ account for any specific questions she may have for this part of the process.
