The day has arrived!
Today on my visa tracking app, I received a notification that our visa has been approved July 28, 2020! 🤩🤩
Finally after waiting so long we got it! We are now one step closer 😌 . I hope everyone that is still waiting will receive the same positive news as we did. 🙏

With all due respect, my sister died of Covid in April and my wife's sister and niece are both positive and very ill right now.  People like you make me so tempted to pray that it hits your family, not you, your loved ones so you get to watch them.  I am trying to be a better human but the ignorant people that claim this is all fake can kindly shove it where the sun don't shine.  I hope your loved ones dont ever get it but if they do, I promise that I will be smiling inside.  I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy but I will make an exception for the ignorant people who refuse to believe this deadly disease exists.
 

We received our NOA2 today after 208 days of waiting. I wish everyone good luck who is still waiting. It’s been frustrating to wait so long for sure.

Finally completed NVC stage. I believe next once the embassy receives it we can schedule the medical and then the interview (once things open back up). I was confused in the email NVC sent
 
"NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable)."
 
Do they set the interview date and then we do the medical based on that?

When I went for our 2 children's CRBA and passport in March, they use Air21 to send out the documents. We had to go to the Air21 counter to prepay. They were not shipping the documents out for a long time but they finally started. My wife finally received them from the embassy about 2 weeks ago.

Request for RFE received today. 218 days. At least my files weren’t lost. 🙂

Fire them and move on. They don't add anything that you can't do especially since you are here on VJ where there are many experts that can help you. Also, there are so many tools to use. After RFE response taking forever we finally got NOA2 approved (204 days)! And I am with him right now during quarantine making it all the much sweeter 😍

Nothing new.  They will open and process backlogged CR-1's that should be first as they have established a marriage. Then they'll move onto K-1 cases already at the embassy.  After that they will instruct NVC to send the case assigned files to them and begin opening the scheduling function. That's my opinion.

Well if you start having trouble, bring them to Honolulu, Hawaii.  The largest high school in the state, students wise.  Where over half the students are Filipino, and half of them are immigrants.  No acceptance problem here.

Nigeria 12 to 18 months.
 
See where we are going with this. What you're asking can't be predicated with any certainty. So when it gets done that's when it will be done.
 
Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process?

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take 
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual
