With all due respect, my sister died of Covid in April and my wife's sister and niece are both positive and very ill right now.  People like you make me so tempted to pray that it hits your family, not you, your loved ones so you get to watch them.  I am trying to be a better human but the ignorant people that claim this is all fake can kindly shove it where the sun don't shine.  I hope your loved ones dont ever get it but if they do, I promise that I will be smiling inside.  I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy but I will make an exception for the ignorant people who refuse to believe this deadly disease exists.

I don't think anyone will deny it exist, The issue is the over reaction that has came with it.

How old was your wife sister? What country did she live in? Did she have any other health issues?

My issue is no one knows how to handle it.  Just compare the USA and Philippines responses, took different approaches from lax to strict and still seems as if neither on really works.

She would be better trying to clean up the city for the prostitutes.

I have made about 5 trips to Cebu Proper and spent about 30 days there, and I have been propositioned during the daytime almost daily by one or two young females who come up to me and ask me "Are you looking for company".  I do roam around during the day, getting food or just looking around, but the amount of prostitutes in that city is insane.  Anyways most of the time I am in Cebu I have my girlfriend in tow with me and she is back at the room showering or resting.

I have spent way much more time in the Ermita area of Manila and never once have I had a girl come up to me either day or night and try to prostitute themselves.

I know there are a lot of guys from Australia and Europe in Cebu area, maybe that is why the prostitutes are so bad there.

My sister was ill and was going to go anyway. My wife’s sister and niece are in the Philippines. Her sister is 40 with no other health issues and her niece is 27 with no health issues. There are other sisters, a brother and nieces and nephews who all live on the same block. They are all being tested now. Their is some differences in how it’s being handled but there are also people who believe this doesn’t exist. People know how to react but governments are not all on the same page. With the lockdowns that the Philippines had in place to where they are today it seems like social distancing and masks is all that should be required. The Philippines went from 18k cases on June 1 to 38k on July 1 to 82k on July 27. The Health Supervisor for the city my wife is from died of Covid complications recently. The Philippines just announced that no interviews will take place until after August 31 except for student visas. Still, people say this is fake and doesn’t exist.

Sorry to hear that.

I don't think anyone thinks it fake anymore. there was just so much mis information out there.  And they still don't know how to control the spread unless everyone stays in their homes which in reality isn't  going to happen.

I always thought that the original plan was doable.  Masks and distancing.  That actually seems to work but politics makes it more of an issue than it should be.  My step daughter and my daughter both have asthma so wearing a mask is normal for us now.  It is an easy thing to do and if that will reduce the chances of it spreading then it is no big deal.  Like seatbelts save lives (I'm old enough to have driven in my dad's car before seatbelts were required).  It isn't really that big of a deal and if it helps slow this nasty disease it is worth it.  We get a diary from my sister in law everyday.  She has had 103 to 104 fever for 10 days now.  They said she isn't sick enough for the hospital so she stays in her room and people bring her food and water.  Her bed is soaked through so they change bedding about 4 to 5 times a day.  The Philippines is not a great place to have a fever.  It is so hot there and their air conditioner doesn't do much when the body is that warm.  She has had conversations with her deceased mother and father though.  She swears they were there with her.

So, does the K-1 interview in the immigrant or non immigrant unit?  With todays announcement that there will be no non immigrant interviews until September is that including K-1?  Things are so confusing now.

People are approved every day in Manila.  We have seen K-1, K-2, CR-1 and CR-2 approvals in the last week.  It seems like emergency cases where medical or visas are about to expire.  They are still doing immigrant visas daily.  The confusion is where the K-1 falls as only F-1 student visas are being interviewed by the non-immigrant unit.

Are you the Barangay Captain now?  How does 6/18/20.  I presume the k1s issued were "hangover" visas.
