Well, call it what you want but ROC is there to filter out the fraudulent cases. It wasn't there a while back. It was only introduced as a measure to counter the spike in cases where people were getting married solely for immigration purposes.
Besides like I said, it is a privilege and not a right. The US doesn't beg anyone to come and reside here so if you make that decision, you respect the institution and process. Yes, the long wait is frustrating but to label the ROC process as a 'stupid bs system' etc is insulting to a process that is ensuring the right people are permitted to stay here. So yes, I still stand by my asserting that people should respect their host countries institutions and processses,
If it sucks, there's an option to go live in your own country.

What I don't understand is why is it so frustrating. It's just waiting. You dont need to do anything and you still have status here. You can still work and travel and do everything that you need to do in the meantime. We make it so much harder by checking statuses over and over and driving ourselves crazy.I started out like that and realized it was a complete waste of energy. Things will happen when they happen. Waiting is waiting. Save your frustration for when/if things go wrong. Like if you get denied... then you will really have something to stress about. Try and relax.

There are genuine reasons why the process takes time such as background checks etc. and these are important for the safety of everyone living in America.
Yes, the process could be sped up and its frustrating that it's slow BUT to show it this kind of disrespect and to think you are entitled to these immigration benefits is not right.
Only American citizens have a right to live and work in the US..to everyone else it's a privilege.
Perhaps next time learn to show your host country some respect and respect it's institutions and processes.
