Just wanted to share an update. I also received the third and last NVC email for my beneficiaries. It came a day late but it came nonetheless. They were sent out of order too. The petitions were filed in different dates but within 30 days but approval and NVC case creation came in on random orders. 

Looking at trends could be a lot longer and of course what the fees will be in the second half of this Century, well who knows? Just sitting waiting for now.

The petition for my siblings has been approved! Based on the visa bulletin from the USCIS page, their visa availability will still take years, if not decades. Their priority date was September 2020. I know it's a long wait still, but I was just curious if anyone here can share their experience. We are from the Philippines.

Questions (Out of curiosity)
1. Will the NVC case be created immediately, or will NVC wait until their visa is available (priority date current)?
2. Will the visa fees need to be paid immediately, or will the visa be available?
 
I guess the best question is, what will start immediately when NVC receives the case, and what processes are dependent on when their visa becomes available?

You need to look at Table B on the Visa Bulletin, that's when they'll be asked to start the NVC process. So nothing to do for now but sit and wait, and check the VB occasionally to see what's happening.

I am a Filipina. A couple of things, either she doesn't really want to be with you or she needs help. If I were in your situation, I would ask if she wants to go to therapy to try and fix things. If she declines, then it's time to let go. I'm sorry to hear about your situation. But it's not worth holding on to something that you are the only one fighting. Good luck!

Yes, they were whitewashed. They owe the Ph and the US government unpaid taxes. I would not fault the son of the sins of the father but he never acknowledged that his dad did anything wrong. What they say the good ol days is probably just for the people in their region.

Stockholm syndrome?

I am sorry that happened to you both. However, I believe there are reasons behind actions. Have you done something thst might traumatize her to be extremely jealous? Have you accomodate all of her needs, considering she leaves everything behind for you? What caused the fight and the physical ones especially? You need to address the problem with her, talk to her like you were still happy and loved her. 
Decide TOGETHER if you want to still be together. If not, then there is no point on holding on. If you beg for someone not to leave, not only you will be seen as the only one who 'needs' her so she can take advantage of that, but also that means she will leave anyway. You wouldnt beed to beg for her to stay with you if she loves you. Remember that.
 
If you have mistakes in the past that triggers this, own it and apologize sincerely, and be better. She will also be better if she loves you. 
 

But it is the fastest route to getting out from under a binding I-864.  A divorce does not change the obligation.

Most, if not all of the women I know earn their own "spending" money.  Some of us even earn more than our husbands.

I had my mom applied for the tourist visa in Dec and the interview is not until next year. I had to resched it a couple of times to get a sooner date which ended up in Jan. I agree with the others. We will only know if they will get approved if they applied.

They amended it that the foreign spouse or the Filipino spouse can file the divorce and still be recognized (but it is a long process nonetheless).

If it goes south, if you have the money, you can file an annulment. The other option, live separately and still legally married with that other person even you both found significant others. One problem with this, even you have been separated for decades, and one dies, the legal spouse can still claim all the benefits despite being separated and having another family. It is screwed up and I wish the Ph would just get over that and allow divorce in the PH.
