I got the NOA2 on May 20. Called NVC on the 28th and they said they didn't have it yet and to wait 15 business days. Called again yesterday (June 3), and they had it and gave me my case number.

If you have the means/freedom, you can visit the US while waiting for the (K1) visa.There are risks as to whether or not they would let you in at the border, but if you bring ties to Canada you will probably allowed in. You can stay for up to 6 months in a 12-month period. You'll have to go back to Canada for medical and interview, however, at the end of the visa process.

Our RFE was weird. When we sent the original petition (before finding this website) we sent pictures of us together that we had on a flashdisk. They immediately sent them back, saying that wasn't a format they could get behind, and they also sent back our passport photos (hard copy). They didn't mention anything about the passport photos, and we assumed that maybe we'd sent them an extra set by accident, and they were just returning the extras they didn't need. Now, 8 months later, we get the RFE asking for our passport photos! So we're not sure if they sent back the only set we sent, lost the other set, or there was something wrong with the ones we sent. Whatever! We went out and got new ones taken and have sent them along to them, and we'll see what happens.

Perhaps OP means I864 Affidavit of support. If so, this is not the correct affidavit of support. You need the I134 at this point in your journey.

Just thinking, with all the traveling around that you're planning, don't forget that you'll have to show that you can support him, financially, so you'll need to be gainfully employed in the US (or have a co-sponsor).

Sorry for your troubles, but I don't think that's going to fly. As the USC, YOU are the one that has to show you can support HIM. However much he makes, or is able to make, has nothing to do with it.

HERE'S A SUGGESTION: YOU GO THERE FOR 6 MONTHS, THEN HAVE HER COME TO CANADA ON A WORKING HOLIDAY VISA. SHE'LL BE ABLE TO STAY UP TO A YEAR AND CAN WORK WHILE SHE'S HERE.(UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS NO RECIPROCAL WORKING HOLIDAY VISA FOR CANADIANS GOING TO USA).IT TAKES A WHILE TO PROCESS THE VISA, I THINK, SO YOU COULD GET STARTED AS SOON AS YOU START YOUR 6 MONTHS THERE. WHILE SHE'S HERE, MAYBE YOU CAN START WORKING ON THE K1.

No, I think it's saying there will be an initial delay of when your info is posted online when you first file/apply. Nothing to do with a delay of notification of approval.

I am recovering from a broken ankle, and am not able to easily retrieve documents. I am trying to get sufficient documents together for the I-134. I work for the Federal Government, and can print out several documents with my name on them and the numbers requested. I can print out my 3 most recent pay statements, my annual salary, and my thrift savings plan showing my investment accumulation in stocks and bonds.
I also have online banking, and could print out my account summary of my savings/checking account.
Would that be sufficient? If I read the directions correctly, there only needs to be two of the mentioned proofs included? Do I also need a statement from my boss at work, or would the Employee Personal page that shows my starting date etc. be sufficient?
I really appreciate any information.
