  1. If it were me I would wait until after Aug 19 to enter. Removing conditions is a pain in the butt.
  2. Every time we flew into Boston there was a separate line, always before 2020. My husband is a citizen since 2017 so I didn't pay attention the last several times, including last month when we came in from Amman.. We always fly in and out if Boston because that's where we live.
  3. My thoughts exactly. The actual day they were married was the day they were married Islamically.
  4. Make sure she is 100% honest when entering the US, that she is only here to visit and not stay and adjust status because preconceived intent to adjust status on ESTA, is fraud and comes with severe consequences.
  5. This is a DIY site, most here have done it with no issues whatsoever. I'm one of those people. In my opinion, an attorney is a waste of money plus time and again we see people on this site who have hired lawyers who totally screwed up their cases.
  6. This is not a DYI case, especially since you are not listed as the child's mother. Expect a long, arduous, expensive process and as mentioned above, if misrep comes into it(it most likely will), you could very possibly lose you LPR status and be deported. Get a good immigration attorney who knows that they're doing. Good luck.
  7. Jordan is not a high fraud country, it's a MENA country. There's a difference. I have not come across a single case of anyone having trouble getting a visa from Jordan in my 10 years on this site. Nor have I seen anyone have any trouble during the interview or at any other point during their journey. I have several family members who have applied for visitor visas from Jordan, they were all approved with 10 year B2 visas and the process was very easy. There ages varied in range from 20's-70's.
  8. There is no need to be condescending. I'm not convinced because I have seen a lot stranger things in my over 10 years on this site. She, herself had an entire post stating she thought she was being scammed. We have seen more than one person say they weren't coming only to show up and leave the airport with someone else. It is not beyond reason that he could have had someone call her, yes three times. A scammer is a scammer is a scammer. There are too many things that are not adding up, especially the call about his luggage. Why on EARTH would anyone ever call her for that? The OP can both be having a hard time and blaming herself PLUS being scammed at the same time.
  9. I'm not convinced it was actually CBP that called.
  10. I have traveled through Heathrow many times and a transit visa is not required.
  11. Again as @powerpuff stated, an expedite is only considered if it involves the petitioner, not the beneficiary.
  12. Same. I am 21 years older than my husband and we had no issues getting a CR1 visa, I know it's different than a k-1 but when people say that big of an age difference is a problem, honestly I have rarely seen it be an issue unless you're going through Morocco or Nigeria. We were asked one question about our age difference and what his family thought about it and we answered honesty, his family didn't care. They will look at the totality of the circumstances and even at that, we had some pretty huge so called "red flags" our age difference, different religions, I was divorced with two kids, we married on the first visit and he is from a so called "MENA country". Seriously I can count on one hand the denials I've seen over 10 years on this site for age difference in most countries. I always nod my head in disbelief when I read the naysayers saying you'll never get approved. It's just not true, again, for the majority of countries. I will say that 400 pages of evidence is OVERKILL. We sent the bare minimum and we never even received an RFE once at any point during my husband's visa journey, up to and including ROC and naturalization. Send QUALITY evidence, not quantity. I also attended his interview at the consulate, I think that helped because they were able to ask me a few questions, as well. We have been happily married for 11 and a half years and honestly, our visa journey was smooth sailing from start to finish. I didn't find VJ until my husband's petition was approved and we were mostly done with the NC, we did most of it on our own. No lawyer, either.
  13. So this is entirely your fault and you expect the consulate to reissue the visa? Um...k. I have no idea why it says I quoted myself but trust me, I was quoting the OP.
  14. Why do people ask for advice and then get defensive/argumentative when they don't get the answers they want? If you don't like what you're hearing, do what you want and get back to us and let us know how it goes. People on this site are going to give you real talk based on real experience and believe it or not, they are not going to mislead you. Shopping around at different consulates for a mere visitor visa is not going to go well, like it or not. You have no ties to your home country giving you a zero chance of getting a visitor visa. That's the real truth.
  15. With a student exchange program she cannot live with you, she must live with a host family. A student visa is needed first and for that she will need proof up front that she has the money to pay for school 100% plus living expenses. It seems to me that you're not grasping everything that goes into the process, including how very expensive it will be. After the year is up she cannot simply stay and apply for a new visa to a different school. She needs to go home and reapply for the new school and prove all over again that she has all money in the bank for school and living expenses. Pharmacy school is very expensive and it takes five years of school.
  16. Just because you request an expedite, doesn't mean it will be granted. You need to prove extreme financial hardship.
  17. You need to stop giving bad advice, especially to people that go through such tough consulates. Montreal is one of the toughest out there. Your catastrophizing is irrelevant.
