Received my Naturalization certification in the mail, today. Not bent at all. It looks like they were very careful with the certificate, which is good, because I wanted to frame it or a copy. I think I’ll just make a color copy and frame it, and put the original in my safe. Good luck to everyone on the rest of your journeys. Much love!

Happy to report my naturalization cert was in my UPS mailbox!

Makes me glad I applied for my passport in person the day after my naturalization at the Washington DC Passport Agency and got it the same day and didn’t have to agonize about losing the cert.
 
I did get a $100 parking ticket which was waived upon appeal. 😁 Sweet day and memories, almost 5 years already.

It can take anything from 0 days (ie you receive it before you receive your passport) to 2 months, nobody can tell you exactly how long it will take in your case. 
 
For me it took 2 business days from when I received my passport. 

Two weeks is actually "nothing", some people wait for 2 months. We see this fairly frequently in Facebook groups among other places, it's definitely not unusual.

About 4 - 5 weeks for me between receiving a new passport and certificate. I probably would not worry about it till mid Feb...

For us, took a little under 4 weeks to get the certificate back after receiving the passport. 2-4 weeks sounds about right.

Expedited renewal with regular post service. For a family member.
 
April: Application handed over at post office in brooklyn.
Day 5: Application showed as received on online tracker.
Day 16: Application was approved. Showed as 'we're preparing your passport/cart to give it to you'
Day 19: New Passport (old gen) and passport card both received in separate envelopes.

03/23/2022: Application for passport submitted at USPS facility under standard processing.
04/04/2022: Status changed to “The U.S. Department of State has received your application for your passport book on 04/04/2022. We're now reviewing your application and supporting documents...Your application locator number is 51*******.”
04/04/2022: Check for passport cashed.
05/03/2022: Status changed to "The U.S. Department of State approved your application for your passport book. We're now printing your passport book and preparing to give it to you. You should receive your passport book on or around 05/09/2022."
05/05/2022: Passport Received.

4/28 NC received.
 

My passport was just approved, and they are now working on making it. Just waiting for it in the mail, now.

now just waiting for my naturalization certificate and name change document. Hopefully ill receive it soon.

Just want to add that I received my Naturalization Certificate back on 4/20/22 which is 23 days from when I received my Passport and 51 days (7.2 weeks) from when I applied and sent it out. Again.....there was NO expedited service here  and this was through the "slow" Dallas processing site. 
 
Only thing left is to update my SSN record and get a new card.

Documents: Application form, NC original and name change court order copy. The post office tried to ask for my birth certificate. I said it shouldn't be needed🙄 . She eventually gave up and submitted it.
 
3/24 - application sent out
3/28 - check cashed. Online status: In process
4/15 - Approved

Almost done, just need to go to the Social Security office (called my local office this week, no appointment needed, just need to bring proof of citizenship).

It is my opinion that additional fields should be added into the N-400 tracker (and other relevant visa trackers) for the passport application, with the ability to sort by "file date" and "expedited/not expedited" under the "Timeline" chart where "US Citizenship (N-400) Immigration Timelines" can be sorted (see here: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?cfl=&op5=5,10,11). In my opinion, this may allow easy tracking. Though LPRs become citizens upon oath, their journey is usually not over until they obtain their passport and SSA is updated. SSA probably wouldn't need a tracker, because it can usually be updated same day. But the passport takes a month or two in some cases and many people try to keep track so they know when to expect it. There appears to be a demand for tracking this information, based on the thread, "2020/ 21- US Passport & Card Application-Tracker", viewable here: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/729036-2020-21-us-passport-card-application-tracker/ .

If you feel like it, please post under it whether you agree or not, and perhaps the mods will see. Maybe if enough agree, then they will add it, or possibly create a new tracker.

Hi guys,
 
Bad luck... I was away last week, and when I came back yesterday, I saw the envelope in my mailbox. So I can't finish my tracker accurately.
 
When I picked it up, my heart stopped for a second when I saw that the envelope was damaged. Fortunately, the certificate is intact, although quite wrinkled.
 
So that's it, this envelope marks the end of a process that began more than six years ago. Many thanks to this site and the beautiful people who maintain it for the incredible help and hope it gives to thousands of immigrants.
