Well, go prepared like you went for the first interview and you will be fine.

Will you have acquired 3 months of residency at the new place, before the interview ?

He should have since he moved 2 weeks prior to his first interview and he received this letter 2.5 months after that first interview. It was scheduled by design. He should be okay.

  2. There are specific forms that are needed to bring to your interview, take those with you and place them in a separate binder. In another binder bring all other documents that were needed during your AOS/ROC etc. It's best if you had them and not need them than having a no decision for weeks/months/years, receiving RFEs and waiting for another interview. Some IOs are pretty quick, others want to dig if they see a red flag and you want to put out those flames immediately by having supplementary evidence with you to corroborate what you say. Always go over prepared and be organized in case you need to fish for some obscure document. Just remember to respond only to what you are asked and not to volunteer information that was not asked. Good luck.

My journey has come to an end.

2/28 Applied for passport and card with REGULAR service.

3/10: State receives packet (Wow...that is snail mail)

3/24: State approves and mails passport and card.

    3/26 Receive passport card

    3/28 Receive 32 page passport.

Not bad: Exactly 4 weeks! This was through the allegedly "slow" Dallas processing center or whatever...

All thanks to the Forums for assisting through this process.

Just want to add that I received my Naturalization Certificate back on 4/20/22 which is 23 days from when I received my Passport and 51 days (7.2 weeks) from when I applied and sent it out. Again.....there was NO expedited service here  and this was through the "slow" Dallas processing site.

Only thing left is to update my SSN record and get a new card.

  4. On a different note...my older brother was trying to get his son to come here. During the process of establishing this evidence for USCIS...he discovered (through DNA testing) that he was not the biological DAD!!!!!! Can you imagine?  The boy's woman lied to him for over 15 years...

Anyway...OP looks like you didn't provide the evidence requested. You need to prove to USCIS that there is a paternity relationship. The onus is not on them to do this. Get your ducks in a row before wasting money and refiling without addressing the underlying issues of your initial denied application.

Because you have turn in all your green card and you cant travel with out a green card so he would have to wait for a us passport to travel. Before taking the oath they give a speech asking if anyone has any travel plans and wish to postpone the ceremony could do so. Its not a big deal the only thing is getting schedule for it again might be a pain is the (removed) with covid.

I totally overlooked this. Good call.

  7. Why on earth would you do that? If you are not travelling the same day...get it done. It takes literally no more than 20 minutes!!!!!!!! Do you really want to chance USCIS setting you up for an oath ceremony date at a later future undefined time?  What if something happened during your travel that could affect your naturalization? Employ Murphy's Law here.

  8. Always bring more than requested in case you need it.

    • If you have kids (fromn your marriage,) bring their birth certificates.
    • Tax transcripts.
    • Marriage Certificate.
    • Documents to show co-mingling of finances just like AOS: Bills, car title(s), bank statements in your names, mortgage/rent agreements, etc.
    • Photographs of events etc. Basically...same stuff you presented during AOS and more that you have accrued since AOS

Just remember the onus is on you to prove bonafide marriage/relationship and not on USCIS to disprove it.

    Good luck. :)

  9.  The onus is on you to demonstrate your unwillinglness to get vaccinated based on some sort of verifiable religious dogma (highly unlikely) or bulletproof moral objection (most difficult.)  This is where having a Lawyer would help to wade through the legalese and come up with better arguments.

    Hi

I'm filling in the online passport form (DS-11) and wonder should I print it out single-sided or double-sided? By the way, which of online form or by hand filling you recommend? My own understanding it makes it more convenient and readable, is this right or there are other aspects I'm missing?

One more question. Do the USPS offices have money order for paying the department of states fees or I have to buy it from somewhere else before attending my appointment?

    Thanks.

The Post Office sells Money Orders. The best actually.....

  11. You are supposed to have it on person. Do whatever the heck you want but that advice given was SPOT ON. Yes, there is a risk of losing it...but again, there is a risk of every bad thing in the world happening to you. Feel free to take your chances. I guess I am not a fan of the snide and sarcastic comments being made about what are YOUR requirements (that you agreed to) for being an LPR. Just follow them! /offsoapbox

  12. Live your life....go take care or see your grandparents. Do not abandon your application especially since you have already had the interview. There is ZERO sense in doing that. Did you contact the IO who interviewed you to inquire on the status of your oath ceremony schedule? I wish you the best of luck. Don't abandon it! Immigration policy/law is always a political hot potato and you don't want to jeopardize your current standing for the future unknown. Track the status of your case online daily. I figure you would have at least a week's notice if they scheduled it anyway for you to attend.
