They might ask about it, but if you have an honest relationship and you know about her past k-1 it should be OK.

That date is the actual date that you last saw each other! The actual date!
If I were you, I would write X and I last saw each other/ were with each other between date xx and date xx, I left Mantilla on date xx.
Date your pcitures, yes. Include your stamps and anything else to prove when you were there and YES in your letter include dates in your letter about meeting so you're not making more work for USCIS.
Send in your paperwork ASAP and you should be fine, I would try to not leave it much later.

Just for those who continue to say Obama did this for votes, the people with the work permit won't be able to vote :s
Edit: also the person who said the young illegals have to he 16- it's they have to have of been brought here by that age buy they can be up to 30 to to get the work permit now.
    Back on topic:
I think that all these extra applications will slow down the process for everyone else- yes! Especially those in California and the Vermont area.
As unfortunate as it is for those of us who have to wait longer, I think this is a really good thing Obama is doing.

Sigh, I wrote a long post on my phone then it randomly turned off...
Basically OP, don't be scared by some of the things you read here. A great many people adjust from tourist visas every year ( that is not to say it's the "right" thing to do).
As long as you didn't lie about your intentions when you entered the US you should be fine. Note: if you go this route you will probably need some documents mailed from home like your birth cert.
Adjusting status here is not hard. It's forms and proving your relationship... oh and waiting. The hardest part I think is being out of a status (once adjusting you become in a "period of authorised stay" even if your old visa has expired but you can't do much (no Ssn etc)
If you are very worried and or want to make sure you do it the "proper" way. File for a CR-1 spousal visa and leave when your B visa expires. If you choose this route you can still visit the US and the processing time is 7-10 months currently. Also one you enter the US you are a legal permanent resident which in my opinion is better than being out of status or a tourist visa overstay and has many more benefits.
Also if you chose the CR-1 your husband could wait out the time in your country (if you could afford it).
So OP, do what is best for you, don't let others tell you it is hard or anything, it's not hard to adjust your status! ... One forum member here adjusted after 20 years! But you should be prepared for all outcomes and one of them is denial (even if rare) and that would mean going home and filing the CR-1.

I understand you're frustration and some people on here can be callus but I am just not sure your response was 100% fair to the VJ community.
I am truly sorry for what you have gone through, I wish you the best of luck.
The biggest shame in all of this is that instead of turning your negative experience into something positive and that you learned from how "some" (not all) the people treated you here and you realized how not to do the same and how harmful it can be. It appears you have just gotten angry, decided (your own words) that anyone seeking advice here wont get help or sympathy from you and that you would actually condone violence towards at least one member.
I hope your post was cathartic and I really wish you well; it's just such a shame you couldn't have been the bigger person (yes some people here act like colossal ignoramus' but we don't have to go there) and made this experience a positive and moved forward instead of being scathing and mean spirited.

    Firstly, I wish you luck.
You state that an IO made a mistake, fair enough. You're frustrated, fair enough. You apparently need your i485 approved asap, fair enough.
To me it appears that you are making an exceptionally large deal of this, wasting lots of money and excessively insulting US government workers and possibly people on this board.
So... maybe it is time to proceed with what you think is right, true, correct and just but leave this thread for a little bit and cool off? Then you can come back with happy updates and hopefully everyone will treat you / your topic with a little more warmth and you can reciprocate.
One thing I have learned from this board is if you seem to be having an uphill battle with other members, you find yourself constantly defending yourself, insulting uscis or other members, it if definately time for a break.
    Go enjoy the summer
    Again good luck.

Xanax got a reaction from C-ma'am in What happens if we marry while K-1 Visa in process?
That's not true. You CAN marry in the US you just have to leave and have a CR-1 filed.
Marrying on a tourist visa with the intent to stay and adjust status could be considered fraud and cause you problems.
    ---
OP, unfortunately you are looking at a wait either way. With the K-1 6-9 months; with the CR-1 if you get married 7-10 months.
If you try to do this an illegal way - enter on a visitors visa with intent to adjust status you wont find much help here.
