So judging from people's NOA2 dates from Vermont, it appears that they are almost a month behind the 5-month approval average! Unlike California who seems to be 2 or 3 months ahead of theirs...lol! My latest estimated approval date is almost a whole month later than the average 5-month timescale that Vermont have!

I think it gets harder to be patient for the NOA2 the closer to the estimated approval date you get! Lol!

I understand how you feel, waiting sucks, hang in there!

I was thinking California maybe trying to fly threw them before all the young currently illegal immigrants apply for their work permits?

Hello fam,

Trust u all doing great.

I would like some help and education here.

I filed for a K-1 visa for my fiancée in Ghana on the 17th of January this year 2012 and I haven't heard from them. I called a month ago and I told they are now working on applications dated 16th January.

I keep checking my status and it's still on  initial review.

Can anyone help or advice me on what to do since it's taking long. Nearly 7mths now. Wow!!!

Yeah, I did apply from Baltimore , via Vermont service center

Thanks fam.

Yeah. But Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Amen. 

It sucks. :bonk: AND VSC is running at a 6-7 month rate even without an RFE.... Hang in there. They are going to have start playing catch up soon, the files are only going to keep stacking up. You are in good company.

Just called them they are still on Jan 16th , he said from what he sees in his system everything is in order . They just waiting for the final decision , if there was anything questionable we would have got a letter to clarify or bring proof or something so to just be a bit patient and try back in 2 weeks at the latest

Yep, and if its over 5 mon. time, and you call them 3 times. they will put in a service request to get it speeding up.. and if everything goes well, you'll get ur NOA2, or your might get RFE.. thats what happened to me after 6 mon. time. but RFE is better then hearing nothing because you can look at it as they looked over your case and wil soon get back to it after they recieve correct info. good luck!
