mrsSpitze reacted to kris&me in Kidney Donor - Tourist Visa
as my brother had lung transplant (in Pittsburg) and cousin had a kidney transplant NY in NY (from his wife) i can tell you it is not a fast process
they put you on a waiting list and (no matter if you have a willing donor) you go thru tests and evaulations for the transplant test
my brother had a almost 3 year wait and they made him get on treadmill even though at first he could do only 2 minutes along with putting him on a healthy diet
my cousin waited a year for the transplant to happen with his wife the donor
your family may not even be a good match
but any major transplant hospital can not only instruct you as what to do, they can arrange the travel for a willing and compatable donor
many surgeries on foreigners take place in the US and all is arranged by hospital and doctors so bringing a donor may be possible
so, ask your doctor on the procedure to get them matched in your home country
the hospital has the paperwork to allow one to travel if matched with your blood and tissue types
you will also have to know who will pay for the surgery of the donor this is not a cheap operation and your insurance will not cover the donor
that is major reason for people doing fund raising
so sorry
been there
done that
and i know what you go thru
they will arrange for dialysis if needed while you wait for the donor
the list is long and most have to wait their turn even for the operating room space and all personal needed to get together to do this surgery
Best places in the east for transplants are Pittsburg, Phillidephia and Burmingham

mrsSpitze reacted to RhettVoe in Getting married on a Tourist Visa while waiting on I-129f & adjusting status
Mind changing (note, moments after baggage claim, which seems to be a constant) only makes it harder for others in the future to get b2 visas...you and your fiancee wanted the vo to believe and trust you....now what? Recently, I found out that one of my employees did the same thing....lied to get a tourist visa for her foreign fiancee...they married 2 days after he arrived...I fired her two days later. I don't have much patience (none) for those who cheat our system and fully expect to be rewarded for doing so (she foolishly invited me to the wedding, where the story came out...she and her new husband were actually laughing about how 'dumb' the VO and our border officials were....the laughter stopped on Monday, when she showed up at the office, with her stuff from her desk all boxed up...I even asked somebody to put a nice bow on the box.
Bottom line: a B2 visa is supposed to be an object of trust, given to the trustworthy. When that trust is violated, it ruins the opportunities for others.

mrsSpitze reacted to Caryh in Anyone Denied CFO Every Went to Other CFO?
There have been age gaps over 50 years that have gotten through the CFO. She wasn't denied because of the age gap, she was denied because she lacked the confidence to stand up for herself and the relationship with you, regardless of the age gap. They filled her heads with doubts and she went into the one on one interview with no confidence. Or she didn't grasp the subject matter they taught her well enough. Those are the reasons someone gets denied.

mrsSpitze reacted to Hank_ in Adjustment of Status
Yup just a certified copy of the marriage certificate.
AOS doesn't require photos of the two of you.
"Someone" should read the guide so they stop giving bad information.

mrsSpitze reacted to Hank_ in Adjustment of Status
Proof of marriage? The marriage certificate. You have to include a certified copy of the marriage certificate.
Don't need bank info or anything like that for AOS.
Follow the GUIDE http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

mrsSpitze reacted to apple21 in Our newborn baby was not listed on our K-1 Petition and We Just Recieved Our NOA2. What Can We Do?
Is the child yours? You can file CRBA so the child will be a US citizen and will have a US passport.
The embassy will not issue a K2 visa for your child, unless the child does not qualify for US citizenship.
The child's citizenship issue must be resolved first.

mrsSpitze reacted to DaRoq in CFO class....corruption in the Philippines
It takes at least 2 parties to make a bribe. You Fiancee is complicit in this...
-
mrsSpitze reacted to Dean_De in CFO class....corruption in the Philippines
I know there is corruption in the Philippines..but just like beggars, there wont be any beggars if people stop giving handouts. don't get me wrong, I understand your fiancee's situation but then again, situation wont change if there are people who are allowing this to happen.

mrsSpitze reacted to Hank_ in Middle Name (G-325A and I-129f)
You use your name as shown on your birth certificate. You have a middle name (mother's maiden name) and its on your BC.

mrsSpitze reacted to aaron2020 in not etting married and returning to phils. in k1 visa with my u.s citizen baby
So, it's okay to deny a mother's love?
Why should you want to deny this child the love and care of a mother?
How is life with a US father who doesn't know how to care for the child when there is a loving mother?
Why do you assume that life for the child would be better in the US?

mrsSpitze reacted to madtownguy in i felt a bit humiliated durig my physical exam
It didn't sound that bad to me. My fiance was in same boat, never been to a Dr in her life before the exam. I would just ignore it, it's hard to really know with out the tone of voice but sometimes people just take things the wrong way. It will only get worse in the US because here it is crazy weird that you haven't seen a doctor, I sure wish I had never seen a doctor. Good luck with the visa, don't sweat the small stuff!
-
mrsSpitze reacted to I AM NOT THAT GUY in DUAL CITIZENSHIP FOR NEWBORN (US & PHILIPPINES)
Yes, it's true. It counts as a visa overstay, and can add up over time. Get the Filipino passport for the child, and you will save money in the long run.
