Also you need to revise your wedding date. 3 months from April 19 will put you outside of your 90 days timeframe. You need to get married within 90 days of entry. Best to be safe and make it well before the 90 days is up.

I kind of was, but I misunderstood you, sorry. I thought you meant the SSA does the official name change (which is a common misconception).
However the SSA will most likely need to see an EAD or GC with the married name as well before they issue a new SS card with the new name.

The CD is for you. It has the xray on it. The DS-3205 sheet is what you send with your I-485.
If the DS-3205 was properly filled out and no vaccinations were missing, and you file I-485 within a year of the medical, then you do not need an I-693.

The false paper that was put out about vaccinations causing autism has been debunked over and over yet people still spout this uninformed nonsense. Vaccinations do not cause autism.

Lainie B reacted to KayDeeCee in Confused about Name change for AOS. Please HELP!
Many states do not show the name you will use after marriage. The marriage certificate still acts as a legal name change document. If you want to take your husband's name, then start using it as soon as you are married. Use it on all the AOS forms so your EAD/AP and green card come in the married name. When you receive your EAD/AP card take it to the SSA and get an SSN in your married name too.

They don't care whether or not you get a job after you get the EAD, because the affidavit of support says your spouse will be supporting you regardless.

You might have to check in at the airport. The system might not be able to cope with your situation.
    You do not need ESTA.

OP, the previous responses are accurate and appropriate. One of VJ's premier members frequently has said, "Your success throughout the immigration process depends on your ability to read carefully, interpret instructions literally, and respond completely and accurately." As others have said, and as embarrassing as it might be to realize this now, the advice in boldface was not followed. Marriage to the beneficiary is a prerequisite for applying for AOS.
I would swallow hard, reconstruct the AOS package with the valid marriage certificate, and submit it all over again. What you choose to do in regard to the previous payment is your choice, but I personally would not tie up senatorial or congressional staff time with a complaint like this when thousands of other people have unquestionably legitimate issues to confront.

Apply for the social security card first.
Get married ASAP before her 90 days is up
Then submit the I-485 and include the I-765 and I-131
Submitting the I-765 before marriage is not a viable option.

Use your married name on all the forms. Put your maiden name where it says "other names used". You don't have to change your name on your passport or anywhere else first. Your marriage certificate is the legal proof of your name change.

Bangkok has a USCIS field office. You could get married now then do DCF.
But if your plan is to marry in the US then yes your only option is via the Dallas lockbox. You just put your overseas address on the forms.

    EAD/AP is good for 1year.
Once you have green card in hand, EAD/AP is not needed anymore.
If AOS is dragging so long that EAD/AP is about to expire, you should renew EAD/AP which is free.

You are way over complicating things, if he gets hired as a W2 employee then he completes the W4 and an I-9, if he gets hired as a 1099 then he provides the W9 to the hiring company and has to pay his own taxes on an estimated basis quarterly with 1040-ES and if he creates his own company that he is an employee of for that he would need to complete an I-9.
The process is exactly the same as it would be for a USC.

Folks, it does not matter where you live for federal immigration purposes! As long as you marry in a place where same-sex marriage is legal, you are married for spousal immigration purposes.
Do not give legal advice if you do not know the law.
