What would be the purpose of showing your degree?

You do not need to send in such things to be eligible for the EAD. You already are. However, you could use a job offer letter to file for an expedite of your EAD > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/453753-how-to-request-to-expedite-your-ead-based-on-a-job-offer/

They don't care whether or not you get a job after you get the EAD, because the affidavit of support says your spouse will be supporting you regardless.
