My Immigration is officially done!!!

My N400 experience was both exciting and nerve wracking!

The goal to ensure that your paperwork is sufficient down to the studying the citizenship material was taxing but was ALL worth it!

I had my citizenship interview today at the Milwaukee, WI field office. My application was under the 3 yr rule.

I arrived 1:15pm per instruction from the appointment letter. Check in procedure was smooth and organize. I was called exactly 130pm. The IO asked for my DL,GC and Passport. He started with the Civics test and answered all of the questions. Reading and Writing tests were completed without any issue. He went over my form and just asked me a few questions. He asked if I was working and replied that I work as a CSA at a utility company. He said it must be a tough job. He asked if I get yelled a lot? We ended up chatting about the nature of my job coz I told him that we respond to emergencies and outages too.

I informed him that I need to change my response for group membership coz I said no yet Im a member of a labor union, he said not to worry about it and then handed me the results form after having me sign a few documents!

I was out after 10 minutes! He didn t even ask for any of my documents!

Later on, my case was updated to advising me of my oath of ceremony scheduled!

I WOULD HAVE NOT MADE IT WITHOUT THE HELP OF EVERYONE HERE IN VJ!

Thank you for your generosity and for sharing your experiences and knowledge!

God bless you all and more power!

There was a call with USEM and BI concerning the PI Immigration situation. For US citizens that want to go back to the PI, for now the only way is if you have a Philippine's spouse or have a biological child that is also a Philippine citizen. The problem is, you must travel back with them on the same flight so if they are in the PI, you wont be able to go. Also, you will need an existing visa.

For the US citizens who are already in the PI and contemplating going back to the US, most likely you will not be able to get back in for quite some time. They did not say how long that would be, but it came across as being for an extended period of time.

Also, international flights are extremely limited as of now. They are still only allowing 1500 passengers a day to come through Manila and some type of restriction may be made for Cebu and Clark in the future. The 1500 through Manila is through April 30th, but possible this will be extended. Will depend on alot of different factors.

Philippines "privacy" law that forces women to give birth without their husbands?

Is there actually a real law in the Philippines that requires women give birth without their partner, husband, fianc ?

I feel like my Fianc e is being fed a line of BS from our OB, saying that there is a Philippines "Privacy" law that Does Not "Protect" a women's right to give birth alone if she chooses but Instead "Forces" all women to give birth alone regardless of their personal feelings and the feelings of their partner.

I know the Philippines is essentially insane in it's retardation of many laws and protocols and what ever else but this seems like about one of the most insanely retarded things I have heard so far.

My fianc e lived in hong kong when I submitted the petition, but she has since relocated to Philippines (her home nation, where she now resides)..but we were assigned a case number starting with hnk (apparently indicating that the case will be sent to hong kong). Even though the hong kong embassy seems to be processing visas normally (unlike the manila embassy) and she could try to travel there for the interview (thus probably allowing her to get her visa more quickly), that s currently impossible (due to covid travel restrictions). Our case is currently at nvc. I guess i need to contact nvc and have our case changed such that it will be sent to the manila embassy?

note: i don t know if i posted it in the right forum
