I know the topic comes up a lot and I have some info to add. I had been using Remitly and was very happy. I switched to WU because there was also no fee and their exchange rate was consistently about 1 peso more to the USD than Remitly. That may not seem like much but I was supporting my wife and kids and it makes a difference with the amounts I was sending and adds up. Well WU started charging a fee of $1.99 per transaction as of this month. So I go check Remitly and still now fee and also the exchange rate was exactly the same as WU. I guess I am moving back to Remitly.

"Although local conditions and restrictions at individual consular posts may continue to fluctuate, the guidance to posts for the prioritization of consular services during the pandemic issued in November 2020 has been rescinded. Embassies and consulates have broad discretion to determine how to prioritize visa appointments among the range of visa classes as safely as possible, subject to local conditions and restrictions."

Does this mean that the tiered system is no longer being mandated?

Hi everyone. I have a question about my Father's visa refusal under 221g. It says the Embassy will request the document on my father's behalf. I'm a bit confused as it says on the paper submit the document, does my Father have to request it too at NBI? or just wait. By the way they gave him back his passport. Thank you for your input.

My fianc passed the embassy interview last night (today her time) and said the interview only took 5 minutes. The interviewer didn't even ask for affidavit of support or the scrapbook of photos of us together she made for evidence. It sounds like the embassy is pushing people through fast to try to catch up on the backlog so if you're still waiting for an interview date it could be coming soon!

Today I got the chance to schedule an Embassy Interview for my K1. There are few slots in different time gap. Now my question is my Sputum result will be in Dec 22 8:00am my concern is will SLEC immediately send my records after my Medical and will be ready for my Interview the next day? im only worried because the next day Dec 23 will be my interview and fly back to Cebu after lunch.

Does it have a duration like days before attending an interview after the result? I don't want to spend Christmas alone though.
