Hi, I'd like to know if it would be smart to expedite. We were DQ'd 30 days ago, and I am having neck problems, cervical disc problems. I cannot attend to all of my responsibilities (I'm a rancher) because of this medical issue, and I cannot travel because of it, and it would help a lot if my wife were here to help out. Someone told me on Facebook that if you're already at the NVC stage for the Philippines, it won't help to expedite, because there are already too many expedited cases. They said it is better to just wait. Now I'm thinking about blowing $4000 on a lawyer to send a letter to the Embassy in Manila. Now I know I don't have to spend this money, but I need my wife here yesterday, and I want it done right. So don't try to talk me out of spending the money. But I don't want to file for an expedite if it won't even be faster. So please tell me, what is the deal with every single expedite request, even frivolous ones, being approved by the Manila Embassy? Is that really happening? And does this affect a legitimate request? Thank you.

Good day! I'm a new member here. Me and my partner have no experience in this whatsoever so I'm gonna go straight to the point. Which is faster, applying for a K-1 or CR-1 visa? Here's the picture: girlfriend and I are in the US right now, but as a tourist, I have to go back soon to the Philippines. So will it be better for her to apply now, or apply when I get back home, or come with me and get married in the Philippines? I know the journey will be long regardless, but it would be really helpful to know which is easier. Thanks for the replies!

Hi everyone, My fiance' in the Philippines has already filed the ds-160 and paid the visa fee. She is trying to check on interview dates and keeps coming to a page where it says something about a C1 visa. She keeps saying she must get a C1 visa also. I have no idea what is going on with that it is for traveling through US, not staying here Is there a flowchart she can use to go line by line to check on an interview? thanks,

I'm hoping the corporate wisdom can give us some counsel on this. My wife decided to keep her maiden name because the Philippines makes it such a hassle to change it. She would have had to separately apply and change ( and pay ) for at least 13 different things. Now she's a little concerned and is thinking of changing it to my name. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Our petition has been at NSC since Oct 3, 2021. Thanks in advance.

We are having my fianc e's and her kids passports/visas shipped to SM premier. How long should we expect to wait before picking them up? Also she already had CFO telecounseling and was instructed to send copy of visa once received. They also said it would take up to two weeks to get the certificates. Is this accurate?
