Mistake in Tourist Visa |

I applied for a tourist visa in order to get my fiance here for a wedding. However because of the long wait, I wasn't able to get the interview scheduled for the wedding in time (2 days off). I then applied for an emergency visa, not knowing that you're not allowed to use those for weddings. I then got 2 emails, one saying i was approved and another saying I was denied. After checking back in the website, I was able to adjust the dates to an earlier time to about 1 week before the wedding. And looking back on the site it says it's an emergency. I'm not sure if this would hurt her chances of getting the Visa now since it's not an emergency. Should I contact someone about it? Also If it is approved, would we still need to wait weeks after the interview to get the visa since it has an emergency status?

Hi, I am filling out my I-485 AOS for my wife after she came here on a K-1 Visa and we got married. One of the supporting documents required is a birth certificate of the applicant (my wife). The issue is that the PSA (Philippines Statistics Authority) birth certificate is very illegible. It's very difficult to make out certain parts if at all. She also has a municipal copy of her birth certificate that is clear and easy to read. Should I include both the PSA and municipal copy as my supporting evidence? From what I understand the PSA one is the main (national) copy and takes precedence. Anyone have a similar problem when submitting the I-485? Should I provide a letter along with the birth certificates explaining the issue to USCIS?

I'm a US citizen, two I-130s approved. I'm trying to write a NVC expedite letter/interview together, for my wife and stepdaughter. Do I include both on one letter or do I need to complete two different expedite letters.

hello! I'm 26F, and i've been wanting to visit my friends and relatives in US for quite some time now. I can fully fund my trip and my expenses, however i work freelance because i'm currently taking oral chemotherapy medications. Are my monthly doctor's appointments enough for the embassy to believe that i won't overstay in the US? What other documentations do i need to bring to support my application? Thank you!

Okay, so maybe I have been asking the wrong question here. I am in a situation where I have decided to move to the Philippines instead of bringing my fiance here to the US. (My fiance is ecstatic!) I had asked how to go about a Recognition of Foreign Divorce in the Philippines so I can marry there again. I was married 10 years ago in Philippines. I was sent a link for the information by a fellow VJ member. Here's the first paragraph of the Philippine law: JUDICIAL RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN DIVORCE IN THE PHILIPPINES There is no divorce in the Philippines, but when a divorce is validly obtained abroad and initiated by the foreign spouse, the Filipino spouse shall have the capacity to remarry under Philippine law. So as I read this the law does not pertain to me as I DID NOT INITIATE THE DIVORCE NOR AM I THE FILIPINO SPOUSE. So then am I free to marry in the Philippines as long as I can present an original divorce decree obtained in Hawaii USA to the Philippine authorities? In reading the Philippines law (above) the very first paragraph seems to not apply to me in me in this situation. MY FILIPINA FILED FOR DIVORCE AGAINST ME so I didn't initiate the divorce and obviously I am not the Filipino spouse. Your assistance in the matter will be greatly appreciated. Mahalo, David
