Looking for Clarity: K-1 Petitioners Barred from Embassy Entry? |

I'm the petitioner for an upcoming K-1 visa interview and am seeking clarity on the current rules regarding petitioner entry to the embassy. Earlier this year, we were told petitioners are no longer allowed inside the embassy building during the interview. As a US citizen petitioner, I'm skeptical of this policy change. Can anyone confirm if K-1 petitioners are still barred from entering the embassy during the beneficiary's interview? I thoroughly searched recent threads but couldn't find updates on this policy. If this is a duplicate question, please direct me to the relevant discussion. Thank you!

Well, I got an RFIE for certified records concerning a non-alcohol or drug related traffic violation I'd gotten in another state in 1998ish, and an accidental bounced check for $80ish around 1992ish...lol, I say sh" because these incidents were decades ago and I cant remember exact details, but I confessed to them on my application just in case there were records of these things so they wouldnt think I was hiding anything. ANYWHOOO, I took a day off of work and spent the whole day driving around another state from court houses and magistrates and police departments trying to get certified records for these things and everyone looked at me like I was crazy but I managed to get the police department in the city of the traffic violation to give me a certified statement saying I have no criminal record there and that they purge their records every 5 years and I drove to another city where I bounced the check and got a certified letter from the magistrate stating that I have no criminal record there either and they dont keep records that long. I typed up statements concerning each incident, explaining that I cant remember exact dates or years or details because they were so long ago but I gave my best approximations based on other memories I had from those time frames. I also included in my statements what and where I went in order to get those certified statements and then I mailed them all back the very next day in the envelope they provided in my RFIE. Now its been a week and I just noticed in someone elses post that they had their statements that they typed up notarized before they sent them in and I realize I didnt get my statement notarized before I sent in in. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there ANY chance they will just let it go since they were such minor offenses such a long time ago and my records have been spotless for decades now? Or will they send them back and set me back another 4 weeks?

Hi, currently filling out the I129f form, for the address history, our house was sold by my mother and we separated ways, when should be the end date for my previous address? Should it be the date of sale of the house or the actual day we left the house? Plus for my new and current address, it doesn t match directly to the end date of my previous address since I stayed a while with my parents RV truck before moving in to a new apartment. Oh and also within that period I went to visit my gf in her country. So, does it matter that the addresses end date and start date don t match? For the employment history, I was hired as an intern then later on become full time while still schooling, I ve been a full time employee for almost two years now but I m confused as to which date to put as my start date in this employer. Should I put the intern date or when I was really a full time employee? If so, I should put the intern employment on a separate portion? sorry for the many questions but please help. Thank you so much.

Please clear up my confusion. Is the K-1 Visa an immigrant or a non-immigrant visa? |

I ask because we got an email regarding a class we thought she had to take before she can get on a plane. Supposed to attend next Monday. Now she gets an email, included below, that screws everything up, unless K-1 is a non-immigrant visa. Then supposedly, she is not required to take the class. So. K-1. Immigrant or non-immigrant? I hear different answers all the time here, especially when we are tracking the progress on CEAC. Thank you.

We secured an appointment for the CFO class, supposed to attend next Monday. We were assured that we could attend without having a visa in the passport. Today, she got the email below. I won t pretend to know how to decode it. Is it true that the K1 is a non-immigrant visa? If so, this email says CFO is no longer required. Pretty confused. I appreciate any illumination you can give. Thank you.
