So I am a US citizen. I ve petitioned for my mom and she will be here soon under a green card.

I want to petition for my sister as well, but would it be better if my permanent resident mom does it or me?

I think the timeline for parents petitioning kids is less vs siblings petitioning for each other?

We are on our way to Montreal! Our interview is Monday, tomorrow which we waited 2 years for!! We turned away from the Quebec border and sent back to Ontario! They would NOT let us through even with paperwork and hotel reservation! We were told to come back day of interview!!! This will take 2 hours and that is not including if we get stopped again for driving with Ontario plates!! We have to leave about 4:30 AM!!!! Has anyone else had this issue?? What did you do... what can we do? Please respond ASAP.

I had my N-400 interview yesterday and passed both the civics/written tests but due to a glitch certain evidence that was uploaded in my orginal application was not visible on the

the officer's end. He didn't approve my case on the spot but let me know if he needed more evidence etc. that he would contact me via mail. He also informed me that he was going to look through my previous evidence on file and if it was sufficient he'd approve my case for oath ceremony. The officer still placed me in queue to schedule an oath ceremony and I checked again this evening and the status changed to "Oath ceremony notice was mailed". Just to be clear does this mean my application was reviewed and approved? because he said it may take up to 30 days to get a response for a decision on my case. Answers would be greatly appreciated!

Which Canadian police clearance certificate is required for US DV lottery purpose? Is it Criminal Record Check by RCMP or Police Information Check from a local police?

After many, many long months of waiting, we finally got our interview date but unfortunately I was not able to attend and have to reschedule.
I am looking for people on here who are in the same boat, specifically those who recently had to reschedule their consular appointment IR-1/ CR-1 Spouse Visa Interview at the Montreal Consulate in Canada.
I looked all over VJ forums and in general but I wasnt able to find many people who went through the rescheduling process (especially in the past year) that can share their experience, such as how long they waited for a new date etc. so Id like to fill that gap in and also get some information.
