I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this, but I m incredibly confused and not sure where to post it.

My husband and I concurrently filed the I130/I485 in December 2019. My husband received his approval and green card at the end of February this year and started working here in the U.S in April.

We have been trying to find him health insurance through the Marketplace website, but couldn t really find something within our budget.

In the mail today, he received a packet of information from a Medicaid insurance company welcoming him as a member.

He didn t apply for Medicaid and, please correct me if I m wrong, but I didn t think he was able to have Medicaid given his current status.

Is my thinking correct? I can t really find an exact answer anywhere else, so I m trying to figure out if he is allowed to have this insurance or if we need to immediately stop it.

Again, I apologize if this isn t the right place to post.

Hi there, I hope someone can answer my question because NVC is helpless. My daughter who is 5 years old was DQed by NVC in May 2020. My process took longer with USCIS and I'm not yet DQed as they asked for additional documents. Now, for interview at consulate do I have to wait another year or does my daughter's waiting time count for both?

Change of Address Form and returning/turning in Green Card

Hey all - I'm a U.S. green card holder. I've very VERY recently gone back to my home country of Canada to re-establish myself, as my wife is immigrating to Canada (and I am moving back.) I have a few questions about the change of address process. Essentially, I'm not *able* to change my address online with USCIS. The form only allows for U.S. addresses. How would I change my address to a spot in Canada (as I am required to)? I'm at a temporary address currently, and I still own my house in the United States (my wife is currently there at the moment). I'll probably be moving to a permanent spot within the next few months.

Also - what is the best way to turn in my green card? I'd asked about it when crossing the border on the United States side, and the border official said "are you absolutely sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you're not coming back?" and I said "no" because my wife's Canadian immigration case is still pending, but once it clears (and possibly sooner frankly) I'll be 100% sure that I'm not returning, at least not to the point where I'll be able to maintain my residency requirements. Should I turn it in at a land border when I go back to pick up my wife? should i just mail it in with the form? I want to ensure that I'm not going to get unnecessary issue or confusion at the border, because I'm going to have to get my wife and bring her back to Canada at some point.

Let me know. Thanks!

Hi everyone!

Since receiving my ten year green card, I have changed my last name to my husband's officially on my SSN and DL. I want to apply for my N-400 since I am now eligible, but have yet to change my name from my maiden to married on my green card. Do I need to file an I-90 before I can apply for N-400 or can I go straight to N-400 with new last name??

Thank you :)

Hi guys,

I will be moving away for school to North Carolina. I am beneficiary married to USCitizen currently we both live in Michigan. My husband will continue to live in our house in Michigan (that we own jointly) while I m in school. We have not signed a lease yet, but plan to sign it sometime later next month. We will co-sign the lease as my husband plans on visiting me once a month.

Our interview is June 18 and we don t know if we need to mention this during the interview? I don t want them to do a credit check on us later on and realize that we didn t mention the North Carolina lease that we plan on signing likely after the interview.

Am I overthinking this?
