  1. Hi. My husband received his green card a few weeks ago and we are planning to drive to Canada to finally retrieve his belongings. We have our passports, his green card, and 6059 Customs form filled out. We will also be making an itemized list of each box of belongings before coming back across the border. Would love to hear any experiences or best ways to be prepared to cross the border back into the US. We will just be filling our car with his belongings. Thanks!
  2. Green card has just arrived. 11 days after the interview date.
  3. 1. We brought full copies of our original files. We brought originals of our licenses, passports, birth certificates, marriage certificate, divorce degrees from prior marriages. We also brought updated pictures since we submitted our file(with dates and who was in them), joint tax return, bank statements, joint health insurance, etc to prove our bona-fide marriage. She check all of our originals against the digital copies she had. She also took everything we brought to prove continuation of our relationship. My husband also brought a copy of his work contract which she took as well. 2. She asked about our relationship step by step from when we started dating until the wedding including trips, big events, etc. This kind of led itself as my husband and I had a lot of natural back and forth and ended up sharing dog pictures back and forth with our immigration officer. She did ask specifics about our application which included "is this your first marriage?" (It wasn't for either of us), etc. Then at the end she asked a few of the yes/no questions found on the I485. She ended the interview by telling us to expect something in the mail within the next few weeks and walked us out. Hope this is helpful and best of luck to you!
  4. Interview was yesterday at 2pm and seemed to go well. We were her last interview of the day. I-130 was approved this morning. Still waiting to hear back on the I-485. Very nervous right now.
  5. 1 week until interview. Beyond nervous but the finish line is in sight.
