We are getting close to submitting our i129f package, and I'm curious how long the process time will be? If the package was submitted before may, and everything goes according to plan, how long should it take till I am able to move in with my fiance?

Wondering if anyone has gone through a similar situation. I am the beneficiary and am on a post graduate work permit in Canada that is about to expire the first of May and my status cannot be extended. This means I have to leave Canada before May 1st. My interview is in Montreal, but I have not been scheduled yet. I was DQ'd 24th of Jan this year. We requested to expedite our case but got denied. Does anyone know anything about how a change of interview location would work or what would happen in this situation?

Hello! Looking for some help as it feels like we ve been skipped in the queue for an interview.

I was DQ d October 24, my son was DQ d January 20. We had a 2nd child in November and immediately added her to our application and submitted all documents. Her documents are still showing as submitted , despite the timeframe for NVC to review her documents has passed.

My questions are:

1) I was DQ d October & my son was DQ d January. Is it typical for a child to be qualified after the parent? Everything was submitted accurately and at the same time.

2) Montreal has scheduled interviews for applicants DQ d in December. It seems like I was skipped (DQ d October) Or is the interview scheduled based on my son s date (DQ d January)?

3) My daughter s documents were submitted after I was DQ d. They still show as submitted , but according to NVC s timeframe, the dates they re reviewing is now after the date I submitted her documents. Should we be concerned that they haven t looked at her docs?

4) Do we need to wait for my daughter be DQ d? How can we get her DQ d if NVC hasn t reviewed her docs?

This has been asked several times, I am sure, I've already searched and while some info is helpful, it's possibly dated so bear with me while I ask again.

I am a Canadian citizen. I need background checks for both Canada & US (I have previously lived in the US, 15+ years ago).

I am scheduled to have fingerprints done tomorrow morning at the Commissionaire's office in London Ontario.

I want to ensure I'm getting the RIGHT sets --

For the RCMP I need "criminal record check for personal use under the Privacy Act" - correct?

And for the FBI I chose "digital fingerprinting" with a print copy.

The FBI online instructions look pretty straightforward but the RCMP site is confusing. Can anyone explain the steps once I have my fingerprints?

I want to do this correctly, I have seen confusion and people getting denied based on providing the wrong information.
