As far a discrimination the U.S. is the only place where people are outraged so easily because of political correctness. It is a good thing and a bad thing, if you live in another country that has a predominant race your difference is pointed out on a daily basis. I think you call it as you see it, the movie "The Birthday Girl" with Nicole Kidman points to the deceptive nature of Russian women. Not because they are evil or they are Russian but because they are desperate to find a place where there is gold in the streets. This is a cultural problem and the U.S. government sorts by country. If you are Japanese you can come here on a Tourist Visa if you are Filipino NO WAY! That is the beauty of being American you can go anywhere, just about, on a Visa Arrival Stamp.

Effing Italians, you can't trust them either, as seen in The Godfather. Mexicans? Bunch of thieves and drug lords, as seen in The Mexican with Brad Pitt. Anyone who's ever seen Mad Max knows how batsh1t crazy Australians are, and ZOMG DO NOT EVER MARRY AN AX MURDERER because she will try to kill you. With a goddamned ax. Srsly.

Oh, and the OP is a troll. You knuckleheads.

Oh, and the OP is a troll. You knuckleheads.

A troll four years in the making? With nice pictures and everything?

This time I do not believe you.

And to the ones who have a vendetta against Russian women: I beg to differ ... but that is for me to worry about.

Some people need to understand that being granted entry to any country (not only the US of A) is only a PRIVILEGE and NOT a right. People only have the RIGHT to live in the country they are a legal citizens of. Other than that, nobody has grounds to complain.

Well, even if some of the accusations here against Russian women were true...if you look at the vast poverty and horrible conditions in which they live in, you'd see that many of them feel that there's no other way out. There are Russian/Ukrainian/etc prostitutes ALL OVER THE WORLD. Why? Easy money, an escape from their crappy lives...and why do many of these women marry outside their ethnicity? Well, the stereotype goes that a majority of Russian men indulge heavily in gambling, beating their families, and drinking. So they'd prefer to find someone who didn't do any of the above. At least that's some of the excuses many of them give.

I think we're all intelligent enough to realize that bad and good exist in every culture. Unfortunately, in cases like this, bad comes out more than the good.

I am worried for Russia though. Low birth rates, high death rates from AIDS, alcoholism, etc., lack of satisfaction in their lives, mass emigration, and so on. They are going downhill very fast.

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

TBC....

Careful there.... seriously. Don't get irked when people say stereotypical cr@p about people from Syria? Not cool either way.

Well ok, you might be right. In which case, I completely sympathize with the OP. As you might recall, my own mail order bride experience also ended in tragedy, as told here. Even a year later, I miss my bride, Pleasantly, so much!

My wife received her Permanent Residence Card and now is filing for divorce. I thought her intentions were true and that she was really in love with me, but she told me it was just a business relationship for her to get into the US. I feel like I got scammed, is there anything I can do to stop this scammer?

I'm sorry to what happened to you. Not surprised though, considering she's Russian. I know a lot of Russians/Ukraine/Moldovan who live in Boston area and are married to USC for GC or are seeking to marry one for that purpose. I find it disgusting! Sorry again for you. Did you try to contact INS and explain? Good luck

Whoa, careful with the stereotyping there. Not cool.

it sucks what your going through

Oh FFS not again! Care to back up all that vomit you just spewed w/ some figures?

Oh, and if easy money and escape from a crappy life is why Russians marry outside of their 'ethnicity' as you put it...what's your excuse?

And that's just the *good* parts of living in Russia! Don't forget all the Communism, long bread lines, nuclear contamination, and then there's all the freaking bears. Seriously, you can just be waiting for the bus, eating rocks because you can't get normal food in Russia, and some bear walks by and just eats you. Happens ALL. THE. TIME. I'm just so thankful that our government runs the Federal Mail Order Bride program, so that kind hearted old, bald, and fat men can rescue these poor women from starvation and bear attacks. God bless America.
