It means you need to have the 2013 tax return or tax transcript with you at interview. The extension was only good until October than you must file. We aren't in 2014 tax season yet.

Be sure to let the embassy know at interview your child's documents at held up at NVC (sometimes they can get documents) children usually of a certain age do not have to come in to be interviewed so hopefully you won't have to make another trip just for them.

Sorry, but it is difficult for me to understand. We already send to NVC 2013 Form 1040 Federal Tax Return, W2, and 2013 Tax Transcript.

They wrote "If a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) and provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal income tax extension in lieu of a Federal income tax return, bring the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return to the visa interview."

I don't know what is IRS Federal income tax extension. Is it another document? If we didn't send this document, are we ok?

Both of cases are at NVC, as mine as my daughter. Both will be send together. If they will not be send in time (before end this week) our interview date will be automaticaly denied.

Thank you dwheels76. Nice see as you help everybody in the thread.

I assume this is the last day for this thread so I'd like to thank Dwheels again.

Today I leave for Mexico City to spend New Years with my husband. We do biometrics in Mexico City this Friday and then Sunday fly to Ciudad Juarez for medical on Monday and interview on Weds. Thank you so much for being our guide in this process. We think of you daily and rely on you always. Thank you Dwheels!

Everyone who wants to change to early interview date please go to first post and see the template of how to write to embassy.

You have to wait until your case file reaches the embassy it takes time. Track your petition on the ceac tracker. It will go from In-Transit (you may or not see that) when it changes to Ready means you are received at Embassy and you can now talk to them.

Everyone should be reading first post.

Everyone should e tracking their status on the ceac tracker I know you know it you just got out of NVC. this is your lifeline and how you will know everything going forward.

Hello vjers

I got visa just three months before my 2nd marriage anniversary. I have read somewhere that poe after 2nd anniversary gives you 10 years gc. I it worth if I wait three months for poe.

Your visa is only valid for 6 months. If you don't enter the US before then you will have to apply again...

The visa you were issued is a CR1. I am not sure of them chaning it to an IR1 at POE. If they do then it will save you the time and money of ROC.

Yes as long as your visa doesnt expire before your 2nd anniversary. It will save you lot of money and hassle of ROC if you wait now.

DWheels, in case like above do we need to bring updated AOS package or tax return for 2014 at POE if you get visa in 2014 but you do POE after May 2015?

Another question, reading up on the thread and I see people can check the status of the file, as in where it is (at NVC, in transit, eetc). Is that only possible after registering for Loomis? and I am assuming one can only sign up for Loomis after an interview has been scheduled?

thanks
