Hi there I have spoken to an immigration lawyer but I want to make sure what he said was correct because I m reading conflicting information!

he has said I can come on my tourist visa marry within 2 months of being there than apply for the cr1 petition and that I was legally aloud to stay in the US Whilst this happens? Is that true?

also my fianc is in prison, so how does the sponsorship work with this process ?

I was previously married and divorced in Canada.Returned to my homecountry (Albania) here i figure out as single because the marriage never took place in Albania.

I have my marriage and divorce certifictes from Canada and my birth certificate from Albania (single)

Will this affect my pettition for the K1 Vissa on the interview date?

Is there anyone with the same experience?

What did you do to convince the embassy that the marriag never took place in homecountry.

My wife is currently a US green card holder. We just moved and she filed her change of address online, as per USCIS requirements to notify them within 10 days of moving. However, the online change of address form requests a receipt number for a case. Her case is closed, because she was issues her green card. However, the form indicates that applications associated with a closed case may be declined. She submitted the form with the receipt number for her closed case. Is this going to be a problem? Should she resubmit the form selecting the option that she doesn t have a receipt number?

Hi there, Im currently living in Iran with my wife and children. Myself and the children are us citizens. We filed for the i130 and was approved and sent to nvc a couple days ago. Currently waiting for the welcome letter.

As for the i864, I have filed taxes for the past 10 years. but for 2023 income was around 8k, 2022 around 10k and 2021 around 15k. The income was based on stock sales and bank interests.

In savings I currently have around 300k liquid in cash. Would this be enough ? My father is willing to be a joint sponsor for us but he as well has no income but has a property worth around 2million which is paid off and 100k in cash. would having him as a joint sponsor help at all ?

Also I had a job interview over skype and have a letter from the company which I would like to work that I have been hired and can start working from the day which I arrive with a 70k salary per year.

Another question I have for the annual income part in the form, which I believe is an estimate of my income for 2024 , can I put like 35k ? ( assuming I will get my visa in a month , that would be half of the 70k which I have been promised by the company? )
