Will my husband be able to enter and wait for me?

Hi my fiancee had her K1 visa interview 70 days ago (June 2025) and was refused the visa during the interview (was handed an 221g letter). The consulate officer suspected we are married since we had a few engagement ceremonies... we didn't do a full marriage ceremony, only an engagement ceremony but it seemed like the officer was fixated on us having been married.

Our case status was immediately updated to Refused on the NVC Case status website, but as I understand it this is the same as Administrative Processing (our physical letter also claims the status will be considered Refused until processing is complete).

We are struggling coping together on what to do next - it feels heartbreaking to have waiting almost a year to get the K1 interview and then have it stuck in admin processing. We are not sure whether we should just get a registered marriage at this point and apply for CR1 or continue waiting for a final decision on our K1.

Our 221g letter specifies no next steps on our end - it mentions the consulate will contact us once the admin processing is complete. The consulate officer also didn't say we have to submit anything -it seems the officer just handed back my fiancee's passport along with the 221g letter and said we have to read the letter. We've reached out to the embassy a couple times to get an update but we just get told to wait until admin processing is complete. Everyday seems like the worst day ever for both my fiancee and I.

Anyone have any recommendations on what we should do in this case? I've tried reaching out to a representative/senator but they have been mostly useless (mostly not getting responses). Also does anyone know what are the potential final status decisions after Refused for our case (i.e. what would the status change to in the case of an approval or rejection).

This is <Personal info removed>, a Jordanian national residing in Qatar for the past 24 years. Please find attached the Notice of Action (Form I-797) related to my immigration petition to the USA, filed by my brother in 2010 under the F4 category (brother of a U.S. citizen).

It has now been more than 15 years since the petition was approved, yet I am still waiting for the final approval and cannot predict when my case will become current. I have been closely following the monthly Visa Bulletin for the past several years, but unfortunately, the F4 priority dates have shown little to no movement in recent years.

Could you kindly advise on the expected duration remaining before my case becomes current and proceeds to final approval? Any guidance or updated insight on the current backlog situation would be highly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I submitted all documents last Thursday but I found out I did not submit enough. So I have submitted one more document under "Other". I wonder if this would delay my case processing time? I assume my last submission date will be my new review date? Anyone experience this? TIA.

Arrived on a K1 at the end of July, got my ssn and last week we went and got a marriage license. Now we are trying to figure out when to actually get married, but we have decided to just do it pretty much without celebration, and plan a bigger wedding for friends and family in a year or two. I do have two daughters who will be there, and I suppose we need witnesses, but other than that I am not sure we will have any guests at our wedding.

Feeling a little nervous about filing, after submitting the i129f application with proof of relationship I have kept up making a page of photos and documentations from all our visits, which I brought to the embassy when I had my interview. They did not even look at it, but better safe than sorry. Since I have been here we have been super busy, and while I have snapped some photos during datenights there is not a whole lot to write home about. In addition, I think the only mail I have gotten has been my snn, and things I have purchased that came in the mail.

Should we document the entire relationship, or is it more important to show newer photos from right before and right after we got married?

We do not really get any post in the actual mailbox, so collecting that also feels hard, any advice with that? Since I do not want to wait too long before we file I feel stressed I do not have enough to send in. I read you can send it afterwards, but that they do not always look at it.

So yeah, entered the country, got my ssn and marriage license, anything else super important I should be getting up to? Me and the kids will be put on his work insurance after we marry, and he will add me to bank accounts. I have a credit card with my name on it right now, still using my norwegian funds though. Any advice is appreciated, thank you! ^.^
