How Well Do you Share Your Bed with your Spouse?

Just wandering how hard it is for everyone to adjust to Really sharing a bed with your spouse? While we were dating sleeping together was still a "hot item" . Now he bed hogs, steals blankets, passes gas, and tosses and turns all night. Then we get into fights in the middle of the night. Last night it was kind of warm in the house, he's not been in Tucson this late in the season, he wanted the door open at 1 AM and I said no way, I don't want someone walking into the house while I am asleep. Our door faces an alley, so we yelled at each other and he went outside to sleep on my hammock. When I left for work at 5:30 AM I went into the backyard and he wasn't there , so I peeked inside his truck and there he was asleep in the back seat. He got cold and didn't want to wake me up.

Personally I have never enjoyed sharing a bed....but I was very happy to see the bed my bloke has...it is just the biggest bed i have ever seen....therefore, there hasn't been a problem.

At first it was a huge problem and I would go sleep on the couch. Now we basically sleep on top of each other all entwined. I never though an insomniac like me could fall asleep with someone's head on top of my own and snoring! But I can and i love the closeness.

Sometimes it's hard, 'cause when Craig & I go up at the exact same time, he can't fall asleep until I'm sleeping..he'll just lay there awake expecting me to fidget or something! Other than that, no prob! M. :)

Fights seem so silly after they're all over.

When I first came down, he still had his bachelor pad - with only one bed.. a single one! We slept like that for 6 months!

Now we have a Queen with a lil' canopy. It's sort of nice to roll over and feel a warm bundle next to me.

Right there man. We both have our problems. I snore and Nicole is a blanket hog. We now have separate blankets but "share" the comfortor. We have a good plan though. I start off with 2/3 of the comfortor on my side because by morning 3/4 of it will be on her side.

I sleep like a rock, so if Ewen has annoying sleep habits, I don't know about them.

Ooooo, all we have is a DOUBLE bed. A queen won't fit into the room, let alone a king, because of a weird closet that juts out into the room.

I can't wait to move someday and get a big old king size bed!! Wes' tootsies hang over the end of the bed.....

Besides, a king is a much better platform for when you're NOT sleeping.......

I'm accused of being a sheet ninja. (Those who play WoW will understand the ninja reference) :-) We might get a queen size someday. Meanwhile I think we're doing pretty well with a double. Hubby seems to complain more. I guess I'm happy cause I take all the sheets and my feet don't hang off the end. :P
