Does anyone know when I should send out my info to Rodgers?? Like the 134 affidavit and supporting evidence??? I'm thinking that I'll send it now, but I don't know how long it will take for our case to get to NVC and then to the embassy....any ideas???

Hey guys,

I tried that tracking thing too...looks like you can't do it without a customer account number. Oh well! Hey, I have a question...has anyone else noticed "touches" on their USCIS website after they were sent to NVC? I noticed I had one on Friday...I thought maybe it's because that's when they sent my petition to Romania. No touch yesterday, but there was one today...I wonder if that means it's arrived there? I heard it takes on average three days to reach the embassy by DHL. I'm going to call there tonight and see! I'm so excited!!

Anyway, we are all getting closer! :)

Musicgirl0912, I've gotten a touch this past Sunday (11/4) and our case was already sent out on 11/1. I also got a touch on 11/2, but that was due a call that same day. I'm not sure what's the 11/4 touch was about though.

I got a touch on 10/31, 11/1, and 11/4. When I called USCIS yesterday they had no clue as to why.

Hey guys!! It feels so good to be over here now!! I got a touch on the 4th, 5th and today...so maybe we're on our way out!! That would rock :dance:

According to USCIS as of yesterday, I am still in the staging area waiting to be sent to NVC. It seems that many people have been getting a lot of touches lately but they do not appear to be because of anything significant. I wonder if everytime they move a box around in the staging area they record a touch.

I don't know how quickly things work in Zambia but you want to make sure that the financial docs are dated as close to the interview as possible. And it doesn't look like there are a lot of VJers who went through Zambia; the only other one on here got the intervew date a few days after turning in packet 3.

It all really depends on how quickly the embassy works.

I would say go ahead and prepare the docs once you know your petition has left NVC (since the times have been kind of long) and hopefully you will get a quick interview date. If not, you could just update the financial docs and send them again if you need to.

Hope this helps :D

I posted this in the June-July NOA2 to NVC thread, but I thought it might be useful here as well.

FYI... When I called the NVC yesterday to check on the status of our package they gave me a number [(202)-663-1225] to call to track the Embassy arrival date of our package. Well, I tried to call this number when I got off from work and I got the postal section. I then called the NVC to ensure I had the number right, and I did in fact have the correct number. However, the hours of operation are not what I was told yesterday. The hours of operation are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (EST) M-F.

Short and long of it:

Call (202)-663-1225 for Visa Application Arrival status at the Embassy

Be sure you call between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm (EST) Monday through Friday, (if not you'll reach "Carl" in the mail room, and he can't help you)

I hope this helps...

I'm working on getting all the paperwork together to send to my fiance. I have a few questions. Help is definitely appreciated

1. To which address does the updated fiancee letter of intent need to be addressed?

2. Can someone tell me which exact tax forms that I will need to send. I am self-employed and own my business, so I'm not sure what to do about the letter from employer except to write one myself and explain my business.

There is a time for everything....all in God's time.

I think you need to send the last 3 years of tax returns if you are self-employed

 Also, about the taxes I'd wait to see what the Consulate in your fiance's country asks for. The consulate here asked for copies of form 1040 and W-2 of the last 2 years, but it could different in other Consulate.

Thanks Zee, as always you're a big help! well I just went ahead today and got all my bank stuff and a new "intent to marry" letter notarized. I think that the back log is taken care of. (hopeful thinking) Oh well, maybe I'll wait to send it until I know that my petition is at NVC. By the way I did check the Zambian embassy regarding fiance visa's, and it says that once they recieve the required info (I guess packet 3 or whatever)that they will schedule an interview within two weeks. Hope it goes quick!

OMG the horror is over! (at least for this step, I'm sure there will be issues later because nothing in this whole process has gone smooth yet)

Anyway, I just called NVC, and after I gave them my WAC number, instead of the operator repeating it back to me like they have always done, he started asking questions! So I knew they had it! I was so surprised and excited and relieved and giddy that I almost didn't remember Liberty's birthday when he asked

It looks like I'm another one that came in on the Nov. 2nd truck. He said they got it Friday. Gave me my MNL number and that was it! C'mon USE give us a quick interview date pleeeeeeease B)

To those of you still waiting.... hang in there, I thought this day would never come.

Now to update my timeline....

I'm so happy that you're over with NVC Mike! Expect a fast movement from then on! I'm very sure you'll have a Dec. interview date!
