Congrats to all that have made it to NVC already. I have a question to ask..when do you start counting the days? Is it when you got approved (notice date) or the date the hardcopy of the NOA2 arrived in the mail? I'm counting on the day we got approved which is the 1st of October. So as of today we have been waiting for 31 days and still the case hasn't arrived in NVC. I'm not yet too worried because so far I haven't seen anyone here took more than 50 days to get to NVC. So I'm giving myself another 19 days (total 50 days) before I start to worry. I call NVC every monday and friday instead of everyday which could drive me nuts hehehe. Well thanks again guys and keep posting here once you get to NVC. I'll keep you all updated as well.

So out of curiosity I checked our case status online & we received a touch yesterday... For those of you whose files were already transferred to NVC did you receive any touches to indicate it had been sent? I did call yesterday to see if our file had been mailed out, but the lady I talked to said it had "probably" been sent with the crate that went out Wednesday. I totally got the feeling she was just trying to get me off the phone.

HELLO GUYS MY I-130 AND I-129F HAS BEEN APROVED OCT 25. 2007 AND I FIND THIS INFORMATION IN OTHER CHAT

1. Next week, start calling the NVC (603) 334-0700 and listen carefully to the prompts (1 for english 2 for spanish...) there will be a prompt that allows you to speak directly to an operator between 7am and MIDNIGHT Mon-Friday...this is great because you can call when there is less traffic on the lines and get a REAL person. You will want to speak to a human and ask 1) if you case has been recieved 2)if YES, then for a CASE Number (for COLOMBIA) (should start BGTXXXXXXXX) 3) the date it will leave NVC to Bogota (COLOMBIA). The first few times you call they may tell you the standard "it takes 1-2 months to process", but just be polite, say thanks and call back the next day and ask the same. I called every other day for a week until I got my case number and by the next day the case had been forwarded to Bogota!!!

2. In the mean time, begin assembling PK3 docs: DS-2001, DS-230 Part I, a copy of your beneficiary's passport (just the biographical page) and a cover letter (i'll be glad to forward all of this to you if you need it).

3. Once your case has been forwarded to BGT, go to the "TRACK DHL PACKAGE" thread on this same forum and follow the instructions for tracking your package... The NVC will tell you they can't give you a tracking number, but PeterMiami's tip was a sure shot for us.

4. When you confirm through DHL that your case was recieved in Bogota (ours took 2 business days), have your fiance fax the P3 docs to the embassy (see the embassy site for the fax number) and send the HARD COPY by courier - to the consular visa division.

5. This should prompt the P4 - appointment letter with your interview date. The interview cut-off date is between the 16th and 20th of each months and does vary, so if your docs get in before the cut off date, you should have an interview the following month. Now, don't wait for the P4 letter or for a posting on the embassy web site, you will want to CALL the embassy on the following Wednesday and confirm reciept of your case from the NVC and of your PK3 docs and at the same time ask if the appointment date has been issued. I'm still in this phase, so I'll keep you posted on how it goes on Wednesday.

REMEMBER WHEN SPEAK BOGOTA IS FOR COLOMBIA MY COUNTRY THE CITY CHANGE WITH EACH COUNTRY.

Thanks for the info, but each county it is different for steps 2 through 5. Many US Embassies do not accept the documents until you go to the interview.

I also hope that they have sent your case to NVC, and the touch was not due to your phone call to them earlier.

My NOA2 is close to your, but I have not got any touch. I have called NVC everyday but always got the same response that NVC has not recieved my case.

Best regards!

I got a touch on Wednesday and Thursday. I am hoping our petitions were sent to NVC.

afterforever, I just called USCIS via RFE line. The lady told me that yesterday a large crate of NOA2 was sent out, our case was included. She explained to me that they used to send these NOA2 one-by-one before, but then some of them ended up getting lost. So what they're doing now is to wait until the crate is filled up with NOA2, by the thousands before shipping them out. I am hoping that the crate that was sent out yesterday inlcuded yours and everyone else that was Approved from the end of September to end of October time frame.

She also mentioned that it could take up to 30 days for these NOA2 to be keyed into the system once NVC receives them because they come in thousands. She told me to call NVC after 2 weeks to see if it's been entered into their system. That's the latest update I can give everyone. Have a great weekend everyone!!

At first I was excited to see that I got touched. So much has been on my mind that I completely forgot that the touch was due to my phone call on Wednesday. Then I was bum out. After lunch I decided to call USCIS just to check up again. That's when I found out that our case was sent out yesterday. I hope they're not pulling my legs again because I've been lied to twice.

2007K1, I hope that your case was included in this crate. Your NOA2 was only 1 day from mine.
