I've not seen anything that I would consider blasphemy. I'm not seeing anything like "Jesus sucks, Satan rules" or anything even close to that which I would call blasphemy.

Well, at least there isn't a Mohammed action figure....

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I'm Atheist myself. And its fantastic! Though I've always been fascinated with religions and why there are so many. I think all religions started as a way of justifying the unknown, creating order as opposed to chaos, etc. Nothing wrong with that at all. It was an ancient form of law. But today all of these differences in beliefs is causing an incredible amount of death and destruction. Tell me how Jesus is saving????? No thanks. I'll take a cab.

I'm sorry if my comments offended you, it wasn't my intention (I know your reply wasn't directed to me but I reply to it nevertheless). However, I would like to remind you that even if everyone has an absolute right to life, liberty and property there isn't anything such as "a right to not be offended". If this would be the case almost nothing could ever be said or done, since there is always someone who will be offended. I think the best way to avoid offensive material is avoiding looking at (and reacting to) it. That's what I personally do (and believe me, this forum is filled with material I find somewhat offensive).

I just thought that this was a Jesus joke thread, which was created and read by people who, well, liked Jesus jokes. It sounds harmless to me. Then again I'm personally an atheist but I don't hate religion or equal. In general I think that it matters and has mattered a lot less during the long history of human events than most assume. The thing I really do like about (Western) Christians is that they can also laugh at themselves and they don't get infuriated when someone mocks their deity.

The US, like all other Western countries, recognizes the freedom of expression which includes the freedom to mock any god you like (or dislike). The only one who has the right in here to restrict our freedom of speech is the owner of the server (or anyone he appoints as a caretaker of the server) because he has an absolute right to his property. So far he has chosen a rather liberal moderation policy because he thinks that it best suits his purpose for this site. Ergo: none religious threads keep popping up occasionally.

If indeed this is a 'Jesus Joke ' thread, as you say, then does that somehow justify your name calling and sloppy finger pointing?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
