@netghost be careful with what you say.  It is law that you enter/exit the US as a citizen, with a US passport, especially when flying.

Agreed, I would not travel without US passport.

Today I had my Oath Ceremony, it was so emotional and beautiful. Finally I can say... I DID IT!!!

You did do it!

And, as the metaphorical icing on the cake, one of the most pleasurable parts of all this is to fill in the last box of your VJ timeline.  :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi everyone.
I filed October 10th. Albuquerque is my nearest office. They are re-using biometrics from AOS
I filed under the 5 year general rule because it looked simpler. I became eligible for that back in January. Was eligible for the 3 year in 2023, but haven’t had the money.

What are the processing times looking like these days?
USCIS website processing time estimate for Albuquerque office says 8.5 months. I wonder if it will be accurate.
I haven’t left the US once since I crossed back in July of 2019.

My husband also filed on 10/10 but under the 3 year rule (he became eligible in April 2025). Processing time for our local office says 80% of cases are completed within 7.5 months, which would be May 2026 for us. He had his biometrics appointment mid-November, now back to waiting for the next update...

I applied on Oct 10th, general provision 5 year rule, got my GC through marriage, divorced after almost 5 years of marriage,  ow remarried to another USC, had joint ROC approved. On Oct 13 I was notified my biometrics were being reused. Hartford Field office here, waiting on interview notice, using a lawyer for application and interview escort. Anybody else from CT waiting on interview notice or already got one?

Hello!

Here is my current timeline:

November 10, 2023 - filed I-751 (pending)

September 30, 2025 - applied for N-400 based on 3y rule (online filing)

October 01, 2025 - receipt notice received

October 01, 2025 - biometric reused

FO: Philly, PA

Still waiting for an interview date. My FO processing time is 8 months so it seems it's too early for hearing something from them yet. I focused on studding the test right now to calm down my impatience :)

Chatted with Emma and was told that both cases are in NBC. My I-751 was in Vermont service center before and after I applied for naturalization they moved it to NBC

I'll keep you updated, guys.

Good luck to us!

Good luck......You could get the interview at any time since those estimates are very inaccurate sometimes.  Hopefully, your N-400 will push the I-751 soon.  It did in our case.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you, I hope so 😊 I can see the both applications were combined and APIs were updated at the same time for both forms too.
