I am an American citizen born and raised. I recently assisted my good friend in applying for a B2 Non Immigration Visa to come to the US and visit me. She is originally from Nigeria but currently a permanent resident working and living in Doha, Qatar. We filled out the DS-160 properly and to the best of our knowledge, paid the for the interview, and during the interview she was asked 3 questions and immediately denied. I would love to know the reason why she was denied and what I can do in order for her not to get denied again. Thank you in advance

Her being from Nigeria will be a big reason. It’s got a ~50% B visa refusal rate.

But what ties does she have in Qatar - business, spouse, children etc? Hard to say why without know that info.

She would have been told why she was refused

There's no right for visitor's visa. It's a privilege.

The friend did not convince consular official she'd be going back to Doha / Nigeria after coming to the US.

Denial is pretty common for ladies from Nigeria (higher fraud country) and especially if she's single and of marrying age.

Decision is officer's discretion.

Things like owning properties, being married back home, high paying job or old parents she needs to take care of can improve chances of approval.

It was very unprofessional. It wasn’t an interview, she had a line of people behind her and was asked “why does she want to visit America and How long has she been in Doha, then they handed her the 214(b) refusal. I’m not sure I fully understand the reason why?

Is there anything I can do in order to help her get to America? She does not want to migrate to America.

Because they didn't believe she would leave the US. The high refusal rate for Nigerian citizens is due to high level of immigration fraud and high rate of people overstaying visas in the US. This is why denial rate is 50% as @appleblossom said: every second Nigerian applicant gets denied visa.

There's no way to guarantee somebody gets US visa.

There is nothing you can do.  She is from a VERY high fraud country.

Not sure why you think that was unprofessional?  The decision was probably based on her DS-160.

I’m not denying where she is from is high fraud, but the fact that she is denied just because of that in my opinion, unprofessional and Biased.
