Green Card IR1/CR1 question

Hello,

I have received my CR1 visa on 22 March 2024,  I have arrived to USA on 23 April 2024 after my second anniversary on 15 April 2024. Upon arrival at the US airport I informed the officer that it's been 2 years for my marrigae and asked if I will be IR1 category, then he told me he can't do anything and stamped CRI on my passport, and told me I have to contact USCIS in my local area.

How will I know if the USCIS is issuing me a 10 year GC or a temporary one? I paid the immigration fee before arriving in the US. I tried to link my case to my USCIS online account but can't get the online access code anywhere, I tried to get a new code the system ask for a form number linked to the USCIS receipt that also I don't have.

How can I track my Green card? How can I know if they have started working on my Green card? Will I get a 10 years Green card?

If you entered the US after your 2 year wedding anniversary you should receive a 10 year card.  USCIS makes that determination.  If you receive an incorrect card, you can file an I-90 to get a corrected one.  You can track your card by using the receipt number you received when paying the immigrant fee.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you for your respond.

I tried to track my card through USCIS but I need a form number that is linked to the receipt of paying the immigrant fee.

I have received only the receipt number in the email and there is no form number.

Does this one let you track it using the receipt number?  It's the old status check page.  It works for wife's USCIS receipt numbers.

You don't need a form number, the receipt number is what you need (starting IOE) - just put that in to the case status tracker and it will give you the info.

Good luck.

You arrived in the USA and in no time you will receive your social security card and shortly there after you will receive your 10 year green card.  When my spouse entered with the spousal visa in less than 2 months after he arrived he had the social security and 10 year green card.  Good luck.
