Go check to see it, and it is not an extension for 48 months, you should request one here https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?sroPageType=ndn&entryPoint=init

 

If you followed normal filing timeline and filed your ROC around January 2023, with the 48 months extension your green card should be valid until 2027 which is more than enough time for your naturalization to be processed.

Hey folks, just a heads up for those that use USPS Informed Delivery: when you get around to applying for your U.S. passport, and they mail your naturalization certificate back, it might not show up on your Informed Delivery as it may get delivered in a large envelope. They didn't tri-fold my certificate, as they might other documentation (i.e. my child's U.S. birth certificate did show up on Informed Delivery, as that one was tri-folded and placed in a standard envelope).

 

I just wanted to let y'all know here because I know I was a bit anxious waiting for my naturalization certificate to come back and was watching Informed Delivery like a hawk. Didn't want to pay another fee to USCIS to get it replaced, lol!

Yayy I am a US Citizen now! Just came back from my oath ceremony  Finally this immigration journey has finally concluded for me..

 

I would like to thanks this group who actually helped me in answering most of my questions. Keep faith you all are in line for celebration 

 

Filing Date: Jan 15th
Interview: April 30th
Oath Ceremony: May 17th

I had my ceremony at the Sox Stadium this week. It was pure bliss 😊 

 

 

Visa Journey has been instrumental for me since I started this in 2017. Doing it all by myself. 

I came as a 90 day fiance, divorced, battled breast cancer and still pushed through! 

 

Thank you to this whole community.

Got my oath ceremony date - June 18. So almost exactly two months after my interview date.

I thought it was odd though that it was scheduled and canceled so close to each other. 

My interview has been rescheduled for end of June at Houston field office. 
 

It has been just over 2 weeks since interview was scheduled and then cancelled. New date is 3 weeks after the original one. 
 

Now to start studying for the test and collecting all my evidence together!

Similar to other recent comments - took an oath on Friday, May 17th. Volunteers were waiting outside the courtroom to help submit forms for voter registration so I did that. Then the next day applied for a passport and said goodbye to the naturalization certificate. Fingers crossed that it doesn't get lost along the way!

Got the scheduled interview notice online today! Waiting for the mail notice now to get the date.

 

My field office is Denver, CO.

 

I sent my N-400 on 1/17/2024.

 

My biometrics were reused the same day.

 

I applied under the 3-year rule (anniversary on 8/31/2023).
